Thank you. Thank you everybody.

It's a very great honor to have the opportunity to speak here tonight. During this long and hard-fought campaign for the nomination, I hoped to cross the finish line and bear our standard. But I don't want America to head to the wrong track like Hillary Clinton is suggesting in which we will witness economic downturn through big government policies, American business' offshore overseas, energy dependence and increase of deficit. I love our country so very much and I want a bright and optimistic future for America. So in order to contribute to the restoration of America's greatness, I support our nominee Marco Rubio and I'm here to speak on behalf of him.

As Senator Portman said earlier tonight, Hillary Clinton doesn't know what success means. Success doesn't come from the government's intrusion but from audacity, ingenuity and entrepreneurship of the American people. I am a living proof of this matter of fact and I embarked in such an adventure started by my father Fred Trump and my grandmother Elizabeth Trump. They founded the Trump Organization 93 years ago. Despite the Great Depression, the company survived and succeeded thanks to their leadership. When I took the leadership of the Trump Organization, I founded or purchased companies around the world that hired tens of thousands of people. When some of my companies declared bankruptcy, I didn't need the government to rescue me. We invested and we increased the sale of goods all around the world : Trump Steaks, Trump Chocolate, Trump Winery, etc.
   
Marco Rubio knows what it takes to create jobs, believe me. He will cut taxes for all the American people and for business owners, which will help them to produce, innovate, sell and hire. Approximately 12 % of our economy is based on manufacturing industry. For too long, we are suffering job losses in all sectors, especially the manufacturing industry. But Marco Rubio has demonstrated his ability to compromise on this matter by proposing tax cuts for our manufacturing industry, which will help us keeping manufacturing businesses and pursuing job creation in this sector. That way, we can keep pursuing our quest to promote free trade and make our country competitive and dominant in the global economy. We will keep our status as the most powerful economy in the world over China, a currency manipulator who gives his currency an unfair trade advantage. When the budget will be balanced, President Rubio will invest a part of future budget surpluses into the development of infrastructure, which will facilitate economic activities here in America and encourage future business owners to start their business here in America. And finally, Marco Rubio will get us to energy independence by making sure that America will take advantage of its own energies, which requires exploiting America's own oil resources and lifting the crude oil export ban. That way, we will ensure America's energy independence and prosperity, we will diminish Iran's ability to support terrorism because its neighbors will be free from Iranian oil and switch from Iranian oil to American oil. We will also deprive terrorists of revenues that would fund their plans to attack America and its allies, the opposite of what the Obama-Clinton administration did by keeping America dependent on foreign oil.

Hillary Clinton has been and is still wrong about everything. She is an architect of the worst deal America has ever made :  the Iran Nuclear Deal, a deal that gave Iran the necessary funds to pursue the development of its nuclear weapons that will destroy our allies and Israel or, worse, America. She advocated the withdrawal of our troops from Iraq too early, which allowed ISIS to rise and to trigger all the mess that the Middle East is suffering. When terrorists killed 4 U.S. ambassadors in Benghazi, she remained passive. And she put America's national security in danger by using a private e-mail server instead of a federal server. So, if I were Barack Obama, here's what I would have told Hillary Clinton :

Marco Rubio is a strong leader, believe me. He will keep our military strong and make it even stronger. He will fight and destroy radical Islamic terrorism and he will put an end to corruption. That's why we need to elect Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley and we need them now to keep America at the top through a stronger American leadership. And with your help, they will restore America's greatness, they will make America safe again, they will restore a new American prosperity and a new American century.

Thank you. Thank you so very much.

This is one of the greatest honors to be here tonight to speak about what it takes to establish a new American prosperity. Originally, I was hoping to address this convention under different circumstances, but the American people chose another path four years ago and I respect their choice.

Once again, the Democrats attacked success like they did four years ago while I was our party's nominee. They said, I quote : « If you got a business, you didn't build that. » Now, Hillary Clinton said, I quote : « Don’t let anybody tell you that it’s corporations and businesses that create jobs. »

[Boos]

It shows that Hillary Clinton clearly doesn't understand anything about the economy and has no idea about how to create jobs. How can Hillary Clinton be trusted to lead this country if she misunderstands the economy? Her claim was an offense against success, against opportunity, against free enterprise, against free market and against the American Dream, an ethos that our nominee Marco Rubio represents as a son of immigrants and is and will whole-heartedly defend for the sake of America's prosperity.

Like we all do, Marco Rubio knows that we don't apologize for being successful. Here in a free country like America, we celebrate success. We did build that. Businesses, especially small businesses, create most of the jobs in America. I know this because I spent 25 years in the private sector and I know why jobs come and why they go away. I founded a great company named Bain Capital. I built the old-fashioned way, by earning it, by working hard. And I was proud of the fact that we helped create businesses that grew, that employed people. And these are not just high-end financial jobs. We helped start Staples, for instance. It employs 90,000 people. These are middle- income people. There are entry-level jobs, too. I`m proud of the fact that we helped people around the country, Bright Horizons children centers, the Sports Authority, Steel Dynamics, a new steel company. These employ people, middle-income people.

Unlike Hillary Clinton, Marco Rubio understands how our economy works and he knows what it takes to create new good-paying jobs. He knows that our prosperity does not come from government but from the hard-working, entrepreneurship and ingenuity of our people. Hillary Clinton trusts the government. Marco Rubio trusts the American people. Thanks to his experience as a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, he will grow our economy and bring prosperity back to America. This will be a new American prosperity that will be permanent and fair for all Americans of all incomes, of all races, of all groups and all origins.

Marco Rubio will ensure such prosperity by reducing the size of government, cut taxes and regulations for all Americans and for business owners, which will reinforce purchasing power and consumption in America as well as our businesses' ability to grow, to expand, to produce, to innovate and to hire more people. Marco Rubio will make us energy independent by securing every source of energy whether its renewables, oil, coal, gas, nuclear, solar or hydroelectricity. He will pursue our quest to new open markets through promoting free trade and lower tariffs and costs for our products so we can more easily get international consumers through stronger American competition in the world economy.

When I became Governor of Massachusetts, 85 % of the legislators were Democrats. I did not demonize them and I didn't demagogue them. Time and time again, I brought Republicans and Democrats together in order to put partisanship aside and to get things done for the good of Massachusetts. Thanks to this leadership, I found common ground and balanced the budget four times without raising taxes and we provided health insurance for Massachusetts. Now we have a chance to elect a President who will bring Republicans and Democrats together in order to get things done and ensure a bright future for America, but this time in Washington. Marco Rubio will get us to energy independence without hurting the environment by increasing oil drilling, using a part of oil revenues to invest into the development of renewable energies. We all know, no matter our party affiliation, that everyone should have access to education, which means reducing the cost of getting education. Marco Rubio knows this and that's why he will promote school choice which will cost families, including these immigrant families living paycheck to paycheck, less and produce higher outcomes compared to public education. It will grant parents the power to orientate their children out of poorly-performing schools assigned by zip code and look for better education elsewhere. It will expand opportunities for low-income students—especially minorities—to attend high-quality schools that would otherwise be accessible only to higher-income families, thus increasing their chances of success and of entry into the workforce. By using a part of future budget surpluses to invest into the development of infrastructures, President Rubio will encourage further job creation through innovation and stronger economic activities due to developed infrastructures.

His running mate Nikki Haley is also a trusted leader in terms of job creation. She ran businesses, especially as president of the South Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, and created jobs. As Governor of South Carolina, she lowered the size of government, lowered taxes, including sales tax on manufacturing equipment, and she reduced the cost of doing business in the Palmetto State, which made it the best place in America to start a new business. By reducing the cost of doing business in America, Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley will make America the best place in the world to open and expand a business.

Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley both represent a new generation of leaders that will move America forward and straight to a bright future.

Remember, four years ago, as the Republican nominee, I warned about Russia's insanity and I called Vladimir Putin by his name : a geopolitical foe. I warned that our troops' early withdrawal from Iraq would create a power vacuum leading to something much worse. But the Democrats ignored it and during one of the 3 presidential debates between me and President Obama, he even mocked it while these international threats were and still are existing problems.

Right now, ISIS emerged, is killing innocent people and is sometimes committing genocides, especially against Kurds and is controlling a large territory from Iraq to Syria. Russia invaded Ukraine, annexed Crimea, supports a pro-Russian rebellion in order to annex eastern Ukraine and is supporting the Assad regime to defend their economic interests in the Middle East. If Hillary Clinton is elected, the world will be in a deep chaos through stronger terrorist threat, stronger tyranny and stronger violence through deeper cuts in the military and in the defense budget and in our intelligence operations. Marco Rubio will defeat ISIS and all radical Islamic terrorist groups by increasing our defense budget, modernizing our military and expanding our regional alliances. He will stop Russia's expansionist policies through stronger sanctions against Moscow, by reinforcing our military presence on the Black Sea and by providing weapons to Ukraine, which will help Kiev to defeat this pro-Russian insurgency and to give Ukraine back to Ukrainians. If you want peace, prepare for war.

President Rubio and Vice-President Haley will defend the values that make America a great and special nation and they will reinforce our country's status as the hope of the Earth.

Thank you and good evening. I am here to speak of what makes America's greatness and what it takes to establish a new American prosperity.

When I was young, opportunities for women were slim. I started my business career while female executives were a novelty. Thanks to inspiration from my mother, I succeeded in business. Now, we are living in a time of slow economic growth and we see Americans struggling. We have to create more opportunities for all of our people. We have the opportunity to restore the American Dream. Marco Rubio is the best candidate to restore that dream. I am proud to be a Republican and I am proud to support Marco Rubio because he leads the party that understands that America's success comes from the character of its people, the strength of its communities and the nobility of its ideals.

The Democrats want to increase the influence government, taxes and fiscal waste as the measure of ther compassion and fairness, but here's the right path to prosperity : energy independence by lifting the ban on offshore drilling, by building more nuclear reactors and by promoting conservation and alternative forms of energy, which will reduce the gas prices at home, boost our automobile industry, make our cars less expensive than Asian cars and give us the upper hand in the TPP in addition of reducing the harm to our planet's climate and stopping massive amounts of money from going to our enemies abroad. Another element of the right path to prosperity is to reduce taxes for the American people for the sake of a stronger purchasing power and stronger consumption in America because consumption is one of the basic pillars of our economy and our companies' competitiveness. We need to put forward proposals to double the size of the child tax exemption, putting more money in your pockets. We have to reduce business taxes, so that entrepreneurs and especially small business have the money they need to expand, innovate and create jobs. And we need to pursue our quest of open markets to make our economy competitive around the world. Free trade will boost free enterprise which is the strength of our economy. It will also give international consumers a greater access to American products, which will be good for our economy. America's ability to compete and innovate derives from its open markets and from the continual search for new markets through the expansion of free trade. Silicon Valley, a valley that is bordering the Pacific Ocean, has a social and business ethos that supports innovation and entrepreneurship and where I founded Hewlett-Packard Enterprise, represents a great example of desire for innovation. Goods and services crossing borders favor new ideas and models and allow our producers to learn about the market through the failure and success of traded products. While learning more, they will be able to innovate to remain competitive.

Marco Rubio understands that we don't grow our economy by making rich people poorer but by making poor people richer. Economic growth requires increasing our national wealth.
With a Rubio/Haley administration, there will be no blame and taxes on success and accomplishment. There will always be promotion of success and accomplishment, both elements of prosperity and a new American century.

The Obama Administration has been ineffective when it comes to create jobs for the American people, including Hispanics. As a son of immigrants who lived the American Dream, Marco Rubio will promote school choice, which will give positive results to Hispanics : lower education costs for families, including immigrant families living paycheck to paycheck, production of higher outcomes, in contrast to public education. By promoting free trade with Latin America, Marco Rubio will give our businesses, including Hispanic small businesses in the United States thanks to language opportunities and their fluency in Spanish and English, new opportunities to innovate, to increase their competitiveness, to get new consumers by giving them access to American products, to create jobs in our country and ensure their business' expansion here and around the world. Thanks to their bilingualism, Hispanics will be dominant among the importers, exporters, translators and executives who ensure such a cultural and commercial exchange. And like I said, our innovation and competition capacity comes from our open markets as well as our constant quest for new markets.
 
Thanks to this pro-growth agenda to open economic opportunities for Hispanics and create jobs for them, this large community will earn the same opportunities as any other American, because « el pueblo pueblo estadounidense merece más. »

The American Energy Renaissance is moving America from energy scarcity to abundance, will change the world forever and will power America to greatness once again. That's why time has come for America's Energy Revolution.

President Rubio will fuel America’s future and become the first president to achieve American energy independence! President Obama chose not to get it and has tried to destroy this renaissance and all of its benefits. Instead, he turned on Iranian oil, gave them the bomb, billions of dollars, and vilified Israel. Hillary Clinton promises more of the same.

America has two distinct choices. Our nation should embrace energy independence, not eliminate it. Hillary Clinton would eliminate fossil fuel development in America, kill jobs, drive up gasoline prices and increase oil imports from our enemies. President Rubio will release America’s pent-up energy potential, get rid of foreign oil, trash punitive regulations, create millions of jobs, and develop our most strategic geopolitical weapon : crude oil.

Thanks to America's energy independence, we will be able to use a part of revenues from oil drilling to invest into the development of renewable energies, to encourage our automobile industry, to save cities whose economy is mostly based on this industry (Detroit, Chicago, Milwaukee, etc.) and to make our cars less expensive than Asian cars so international consumers will buy more American cars than Asian cars.

Marco Rubio understands that energy independence is not only an economic issue, but also a national security issue. Thanks to America's energy independence, Ukraine can free itself from its dependency and Russian oil and switch from it to American oil, which will ensure Ukraine's victory in the War in Donbass. America's energy independence will will diminish Iran's ability to support terrorism because its neighbors will be free from Iranian oil and switch from Iranian oil to American oil. We will also deprive terrorists of revenues that would fund their plans to attack America and its allies.

I couldn’t start school before the first snow or Christmas – whichever came first – because I was pulling cotton to feed our family. My first memories are picking cotton barefoot. I’m standing here tonight because the American dream was alive and well when I struck out on my own at 20 years old with nothing but a truck, a co-signed note and a phone!

Thank God we have a clear choice today. Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley will restore the American Dream for the next would-be visionary from small-town America and give us a New American Century! God Bless America!

You know, standing up here again, it all hits kind of a familiar feel. Students of trivia will recall that last time around I was your nominee for vice president. It was a great honor. It was a great honor, even if things didn't work out quite according to the plan. I'm a positive guy. I've found some other things to keep me busy. And I like to look at it this way. The next time that there's a State of the Union address, I don't know where Joe Biden or Barack Obama are going to be, but you'll find me right there on the rostrum with President Marco Rubio and Vice-President Nikki Haley.

Democracy is a series of choices. We Republicans have made our choice. Have we had our arguments this year? Sure, we have. You know what I call those? Signs of life, signs of a party that's not just going through the motions, not just mouthing new words for the same, old stuff. Meanwhile, what choice has the other party made in this incredible year filled with so many surprises? Here we are at a time when men and women in both parties so clearly, so undeniably want a big change in direction for America, a clean break from a failed system. And what does the Democratic Party establishment have? What is their idea of a clean break? They are suggesting a third Obama term brought to you by another Clinton. For a country so ready for change, it feels like we've been cleared for takeoff and then somebody announced we're all going back to the gate. It's like we've been on hold forever, waiting and waiting to finally talk to a real person, and somehow we've been sent back to the main menu. Look, the Obama years are almost over. The Clinton years are way over. 2016 is the year America moves on!

The problem is really simple. There is a reason people in our country are disappointed and restless. If opportunity seems like it's been slipping away, that's because it has. And liberal progressive ideas have done exactly nothing to help. Wages never seem to go up, the whole economy feels stuck, and millions of Americans   millions of Americans   middle-class security is now just a memory.

Progressives like to talk, like our president, like to talk forever about poverty in America. And if high-sounding talk did any good, we'd have overcome those deep problems long ago. This explains why under the most liberal president we have had so far poverty in America is worse, especially for our fellow citizens who were promised better and who need it most. The result is a record of discarded promises, empty gestures, phony straw-man arguments, reforms put off forever, shady power plays like the one that gave us "Obamacare," constitutional limits brushed off as nothing, and all the while dangers in the world downplayed, even as the threats go bolder and come closer.

We know better than to think that Republicans can win only on the failures of Democrats. It still comes down to a contest of ideas, which is really good news, ladies and gentlemen, because when it's about ideas that advantage goes to us. Against their dreary backdrop of arrogant bureaucracies, pointless mandates, reckless borrowing, willful retreat from the world and all that progressives have in store for us, the Republican Party stands as the great enduring alternative party. We believe in making government as Ronald Reagan said, not the distributor of gifts and privilege, but once again the protector of our liberties. Let the other party go on making its case for more government control over every aspect of our lives, more taxes to pay, more debt to carry, more rules to follow, more judges who just make it up as they go along. We in this party, we are committed to a federal government that acts again as a servant accountable to the people, following the Constitution, and venturing not one inch beyond the consent of the governed. We, we in this party, offer a better way for our country based on fundamentals that go back to the founding generation. We believe in a free society where aspiration and effort can make the difference in every life, where your starting point is not your destiny and where your first chance is not your only chance.

We offer a better way for America with ideas that actually work, a reformed tax code that rewards free enterprise instead of just enterprising lobbyists, a reformed health care system that operates by free choice instead of by force and doesn't leave you answering to cold, clueless bureaucrats, a commitment to a renewed commitment to building a 21st century military and giving our veterans the care that they were promised and the care that they earned.

None of this will happen under Hillary Clinton. Only with Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley, we have a chance to make it happen.

All my career, I fought to balance our budget, avoid government shutdowns, grow our economy and give America a path to prosperity. This year of surprises and dramatic turns can end in the finest possible way when America elects a conservative governing majority. We can do this. We can earn that mandate if we don't hold anything back, if we never lose sight of the stakes, if we never lose sight of what's on the table.

Unlike Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, Marco Rubio will boost our economy by cutting taxes for all the American people, cutting government spending, increasing oil drilling, using a part of revenues from oil revenues to develop renewable energies, thus ensuring America's energy independence. He will encourage free trade, reform our education system, balance the budget, invest infrastructure development with a part of future budget surpluses and championing businesses of all sizes.

Unlike Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton, Marco Rubio will defend our values, stand with our allies, increase our defense budget in order to make our military stronger and modernized, to deploy all the necessary arsenal to defeat terrorism and to overthrow dictatorial regimes that are not only oppressing their people but also supporting terrorism. He will use all his leadership and diplomatic skills to stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons, to stop Russia's imperial policies and to restore international territorial integrity.

Thank you, my fellow Republicans, my fellow Americans.

You know, the height of my family's political adventure started in the Reagan Revolution when Ronald Reagan selected my father to be his running mate and his Vice-President, 36 years ago. And together, Ronald Reagan and my dad grew our economy by cutting taxes and government spending, championing businesses and opening new markets through promoting free trade. Together, Ronald Reagan and my dad made our country safe through a stronger military and a stronger diplomacy that helped us to win the Cold War. Then my brother kept us safe as well after 9/11 by declaring war on terrorism and deploying all the necessary arsenal to defeat Al-Qaida. Thanks to this war, Osama Bin Laden is dead, thus making justice done.

Now, our country is less safe and less prosperous due to big government policies and drastic cuts in defense spending. Now I'm here to speak on behalf of my friend Senator Marco Rubio, the next President of the United States.

Marco Rubio will restore America's greatness, which requires a strong economy, a smart energy policy, lower deficits, stronger American economic competitiveness around the world, business championing, immigration system reform and education system reform.

We say that every child in America has an equal opportunity, but tell that to a kid in whose classroom learning is not respected.  Tell that to a parent stuck at a school where there is no leadership.  Tell that to young, talented teacher who just got laid off because she didn't have tenure.  The sad truth is that equality of opportunity doesn't exist in many of our schools.  We give some kids a chance, but not all.  That failure is the great moral and economic issue of our time and it is hurting all of America. When I became Governor of Florida in 1999, we were at the bottom of the nation in education.  For the last decade, this state has been on a path of reform.  Under the leadership of Governor Rick Scott and local leaders, our focus every day is whether students are learning.

Marco's parents came here for better economic opportunities. Despite struggle to adapt in the American society due to their paycheck to paycheck situation, they were successful thanks to their hard work. Marco Rubio is a strong defender of the American Dream and that's why he ran for the Florida House of Representatives, for the U.S. Senate and now for the presidency of the United States.

I'm proud to have helped Marco Rubio to beat one of the most liberal and big government politicians ever known in America : Charlie Crist.

As Senator, Marco made many accomplishments : he introduced the AGREE Act, a bill that extended many tax credits for and exemptions for businesses investing in research and development, equipment and other capital, gave tax credits for veterans opening a business franchise, so it helps them to find a good paying job and to prosper after their military service. It also allowed an increase in immigration for certain types of work visas. In the Senate, Marco co-sponsored the Regulation Costs to Small Businesses Act which would have required the Small Business Administration to elaborate every year a study that is aimed to estimate the complete cost of regulations on small businesses. Co-sponsored the 2014 VA reform law by introducing a measure empowering the VA secretary to hold managers accountable for incompetence, negligence and corruption and to care more about veterans than bureaucrats. He managed to pass a bill that increased sanctions against Hezbollah. After the recent terrorist attacks in Orlando, he succeeded in sponsoring and passing the Terror Intelligence Improvement Act that is keeping guns away from suspected terrorists while protecting the Second Amendment for the American people. After the terrorist attack in Nice, Marco co-sponsored a bill yet to be passed and that is called the Bipartisan Counterterrorist Coalition Act that would reinforce defence ties with our allies in the Middle East and the Indian Subcontinent to create a great coalition to defeat ISIS and to make sure that Iran will never get nuclear military arsenal by making sure that Tehran will use its nuclear energy for Iran's economic growth, not for the development of nuclear weapons.

He combined his forces with Nikki Haley, and together will ensure the restoration of the American Dream, of America's promise, of America's prosperity, of America's unity and America's security just like Ronald Reagan and my dad did 3 decades ago.

I have known Marco Rubio for years. He's a friend of mine. I've campaigned with him, for him, and yes, I ran against him. But now, I'm ready to campaign for him again for a New American Century. I know the character of the man, I know his values, and I know his goals for our country. You see, Marco Rubio understands what Hillary Clinton doesn't. The American people want the opportunity to work, provide for their family, and reach the American dream. Too often, under Barack Obama, that dream has been increasingly harder to achieve. This campaign is about reclaiming the dream. In the last eight years, we've set records for poverty, income inequality, underemployment, and debt. In the next eight years, my hope is we can set records for job growth and in higher wages. Marco Rubio will implement the kinds of policies we need to help get us there

As we nominate my husband Marco Rubio to be our next President, I want to talk about what holds us together as a united nation. One of the things that holds us together is diversity and Marco understands it because he’s in the party of Abraham Lincoln, a man who freed African-Americans from slavery. When Marco’s parents came here from Cuba for better economic opportunities, they made a contribution to American diversity. Due to their hard work, they became able to make a living, to start a family and to raise their children. I have a similar background to Marco’s. I was born in Florida from parents who emigrated from Colombia and 18 years ago, I became the luckiest woman on Earth when I accepted to marry Marco Rubio, a man of great gratitude, honor, love, kindness, audacity and courage. We then became parents of four children.

As a mother of two daughters and two sons, I believe we all need to raise our children to help them getting success, which will give them a bright future. Marco will do it by promoting school choice, which will cost families, including these immigrant families living paycheck to paycheck, less and produce higher outcomes compared to public education. It will grant parents the power to orientate their children out of poorly-performing schools assigned by zip code and look for better education elsewhere. It will expand opportunities for low-income students—especially minorities—to attend high-quality schools that would otherwise be accessible only to higher-income families, thus increasing their chances of success and of entry into the workforce.

Thanks to his experience in the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship, Marco will make America the best country to open a business by reducing the cost of doing business in America, by investing into the development of infrastructures to encourage the implementation of new American businesses and by cutting taxes for all the American people. He understands that the way to grow this economy is to make poor people richer.

As President, Marco will make America a more inclusive country by reforming our broken immigration in order to help immigrants to get American citizenship and to live the American Dream like Marco and I did.

Thank you. Thank you Ohio for hosting this convention! And thank you Florida! For the first time in the history of the Republican Party, we have a Floridian on the ticket : Marco Rubio.

My name is Rick Scott, governor of the great state of Florida. Before I begin tonight I want to express my gratitude to everyone who's kept us in their prayers after the horrific and hate-filled terror attack in Orlando a month ago. We have received outpourings of love and support from Americans everywhere.

The American people sure stick up for each other. On behalf of all the citizens of our great state, thank you, thank you, thank you.

I'm old enough to remember when terrorism was something that happened in foreign countries. Not today. How many more times does the evil of radical Islamic terrorism have to occur before the president of the United States will muster the courage to face the truth? How many more Orlandos? San Bernardinos? Or Fort Hoods will happen until President Obama decides to be honest? I cried with the grieving moms and dads and brothers and sisters of the 49 people slaughtered by the ISIS-inspired terrorist. This war is real. It is here in America. And the next president must destroy this evil. Marco Rubio is the man for that job.

Let me tell you why Marco Rubio is the most qualified to be President. A lot of politicians like to give speeches where they say, "We are at a crossroads." That's not where we are today. Today, America is in terrible, world-record-high debt. Our economy is not growing. Our jobs are going overseas. We have allowed our military to decay, and we project weakness on the international stage. The Democrats have not led us to a crossroads, they have led us to a cliff.

I have known Marco Rubio for many years. He is a man with a big heart who loves people. All people. From the bottom to the top and from the middle to the side. Every time Florida suffered a tragedy, whether it's a hurricane or a terrorist attack, Marco Rubio was there to help.

After the terrorist attack in Orlando, Marco Rubio successfully proposed real solutions to our challenges : in the U.S. Senate he sponsored the Terror Intelligence Improvement Act, thus restricting terrorists' access to guns while protecting the Second Amendment for the American people. One day after the terrorist attacks in Nice, France, Marco Rubio didn't wait to take action and he co-sponsored the Bipartisan Counterterrorist Coalition Act that would reinforce defence ties with our allies in the Middle East and India as well in order to create a great, effective and powerful coalition in order to defeat radical Islamic terrorism on its turf and to keep Iran from becoming a nuclear military power by increasing sanctions against Iran unless it uses its nuclear energy for its national economic growth, which would be the opposite of putting terrorist interests ahead of the needs of the Iranian people.

Marco Rubio is ready to be commander-in-chief. Unlike Hillary Clinton, he will answer the phone at 3 AM in the morning. We need a President with the right experience, judgement, responsibility and leadership to keep America safe. We need a President who doesn't believe government is the answer to every problem. We need a President who will get us to permanent prosperity. We need a President who is not afraid to say "radical Islamic terrorism." And we need a President who will wipe ISIS off the face of the earth. If you want a President with such experience and focus on these priorities, then Marco Rubio is your man.

And on every one of these measures Hillary Clinton fails. She fails. She fails. She fails. This election is about the very survival of America and the American Dream. It's time for all Americans to put down the partisan banners, vote for the survival of the greatest country in the world, and do the right thing for this country : vote for Marco Rubio!

Almost a year ago, during a Republican presidential primary debate right here in Cleveland, I stood on this stage and I said that any of the Republicans running for office would be better than Hillary Clinton. I meant it then, and I mean it now. That's why after being my first choice for Vice-President if I became the nominee, Marco Rubio is my first choice for President and that's why I support Marco Rubio.

He has the best background grow our economy, to promote free market and free enterprise, to create jobs, to make America prosperous and to restore the American Dream. He is a champion of the Constitution of the United States American values and that's why he will keep his word and he deserves God's help. So help him God.

Marco Rubio knows that there's a better way forward and we believe as Republicans, we believe in an America where everyone can get the education and training that they need to succeed in college, in career and in life. Where Washington deepen dependency but rather helps create genuine opportunity. Why? And while we're at it, we believe in a country that those who honorably serve in law enforcement, the people that put their lives on the line for us each and every day are just not respected they are revered. Why? Because America deserves better. We believe in a country where power is taken back from Washington and returned home to state and local governments where it is more effective, more efficient and more accountable to the people. Why? Because America deserves better. We believe in a country where freedom and personal success do not come from the clumsy hands of government rather from the dignity that comes from hard work. Why? Because in America deserves better.

America deserves better than Hillary Clinton. And that is why we need to support Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley to be the next President and Vice President of the United States.

Like I said, when I was running, I said that whoever wins the Republican nomination is better than Hillary Clinton. So let me be clear, a vote for anyone other than Marco Rubio in November is a vote for Hillary Clinton.

Make no mistake, make no mistake, we can't wait four years to get 'em next time. The consequences are too great. After hearing the FBI director's report a few weeks ago, heck I listened to that and said I wouldn't even give Hillary Clinton the password to my Iphone, let alone access to highly classified information. This isn't just another Clinton scandal. Hillary Clinton's scandal put our national security at risk and that makes her unfit to be President of the United States. It is time to tell Hillary enough is enough, no more double standards for the Clintons. Why? Because America deserves better.

And thankfully Republicans are offering a better way forward. It's working right here in Ohio. And it's working in places like Florida and New Mexico and North Carolina and South Carolina. Heck, it's even working in places like Massachusetts and Maryland, that's because Republican leadership works. I know, because I see it first hand, as it's working every single day in Wisconsin. You see, in 2010, we were tired of high unemployment, budget deficits, stifling taxes and rising college tuition. Most of all we were tired of the big government union bosses running our state and local governments. We had enough. So we did something about it. We took the power from the hands of the big government special interests and returned it firmly into the hands of the hard working tax payers. Big government union bosses tried to defeat us 3 times and every time we won because our common sense reforms worked. Today more people are employed in Wisconsin than ever before. Our budget is balanced and responsible. Taxes are down for working families and seniors and college tuition in the first time ever is frozen three years in a row. If conservative reforms can work, in a blue state like mine, they can work anywhere in the country.

You see, you see, it wasn't too late for Wisconsin and it's not too late for America. Like each of you, I want to see the principles that our party believes prevail in November. Just two weeks ago a nine-year-old girl named Caroline was living a carefree Texas summer. Swimming in the pool, playing with friends, doing all the things a happy child might do. Like most children, she relied upon the love that she received from her mom, Heidi, and her dad, a police sergeant named Michael Smith. That is until he became one of the five police officers gunned down in Dallas. The day her father was murdered, Caroline gave him a hug and a kiss as he left for work, but as they parted her dad asked her something he hadn't asked before. "What if this is the last time you ever kiss or hug me?" Later, as she thought of her fallen father, and that last heart breaking hug, Caroline broke down into tears. How could anything ever be OK again? Michael Smith was a former Army Ranger who spent decades with the Dallas police department. I have no idea who he voted for in the last election, or what he thought about this once, but his life was a testament to devotion. He protected the very protesters who mocked him because he loved his country, and his fellow man. His work gave new meaning to that line from literature, "To die of love is to live by it."

[Applause]

As I thought about what I wanted to say tonight, Michael Smith's story weighed on my heart. Maybe That's because his daughter Caroline is about the same age as my eldest daughter, and happens to share the same name. Maybe it's because I saw a video of that dear, sweet child choking back sobs as she remembered her Daddy's last question to her. Maybe it's because we live in a world where so many others have had their lives destroyed by evil in places like Orlando, and Paris, and Nice, and Baton Rouge. Maybe it's because of the simple question itself. What if this right now is our last time? Our last moment to do something for our families, and our country? Did we live up to the values we say we believe? Did we do all we really could? That's really what elections should be about. That's why you and millions like you devoted so much time and sacrifice to this campaign. We're fighting because each of us wants to be able to tell our kids and grandkids, our own Caroline's, that we did our best for their future and our country.

[Applause]

America is more than just a land mass between two oceans, America is an ideal. A simple, yet powerful ideal. Freedom matters. Our nation is exceptional because it was built on the five most beautiful and powerful words in the English language, "I want to be free."

[Applause]

Never has that message been more needed than today. We stand here tonight a nation divided. Partisan rancor, anger, even hatred are tearing America apart. And citizens are furious, rightly furious, at a political establishment that cynically breaks its promises, and that ignores the will of the people. We have to do better. We owe our fallen heroes more than that. And Marco Rubio is the only one candidate who will to defend freedom and American values.

[Applause]

Now, of course, Obama and Clinton will also tell you that they care about our children's future, and I want to believe them but there is a profound difference about our two party's vision for the future.

There's is the part that thinks ISIS is a J.V. team, that responds to the death of Americans in Benghazi "What difference does it make?" and that thinks it's possible to make a deal with Iran that celebrates its holidays, "Death to America Day," and, "Death to Israel Day." My friends, this is madness. President Obama and Secretary Clinton do everything backwards. Obama wants to close Guantanamo Bay, and open up our borders. He exports jobs, and imports terrorists. Enough is enough. Marco Rubio will invest all his energy to defeat radical Islamic terrorism. He will have the courage to call the enemy by its name, he will reinforce our military as well as our alliances and he will defeat ISIS and make sure that Iran will never ever get nuclear weapons and will never ever destroy anyone.

And, I am here to tell you there is a better vision for our future. A return to freedom. On education your freedom to choose your child's education, even if you aren't as rich as Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama. On healthcare, your freedom to choose your own doctor without Obamacare. On taxes, your freedom to provide for your family without the IRS beating down your door. The Internet? Keep it free from taxes, free from regulation and don't give it away to Russia and China. Freedom means free speech. Freedom means religious freedom, whether you are Christian, Jew, Muslim, or atheist. Whether you are gay, or straight, the Bill of Rights protects the rights of all of us to live according to our conscience. Freedom means the right to keep and bear arms, and to protect your family. Freedom means that every human life is precious and must be protected. Freedom means Supreme Court Justices who don't dictate policy, but instead follow the Constitution. And, freedom means recognizing that our Constitution allows states to choose policies that reflect local values. Colorado might decide something different than Texas. New York different than Iowa. That's the way it's supposed to be, diversity. Diversity is one of the strengths of our great country called the United States of America. And it's in order to defend all of these values that we need to elect Marco Rubio the next President of the United States of America.

Voters are overwhelmingly rejecting big government and that is a profound victory and it is one earned by each and every one of you. People are fed up with politicians who don't listen to them. Fed up with a corrupt system that benefits the elites instead of working men and women. We deserve an immigration system that puts America first. We deserve a government that stops admitting ISIS terrorists as refugees. We deserve a government that will put the needs of our children ahead of the interests of the teachers unions. And, if we stand together and choose freedom, our future will be brighter. Freedom will bring back jobs and raise wages. Freedom will lift people out of dependency to the dignity of work. All of these will be priorities of the Rubio Administration.

We can do this. Forty-Seven years ago to this day, America put the very first man on the moon. That was the power of freedom. Our party, the Republican party, was founded to defeat slavery. Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican president signed the Emancipation Proclamation. Together we passed the Civil Rights Act, and together we fought to eliminate Jim Crow Laws. That's our collective legacy, although the media will never share it with you. Those were fights for freedom, and so is this. Sergeant Michael Smith stood up to protect our freedom. So do the soldiers, and sailors, and airmen, and Marines everyday fighting radical Islamic terrorism. And, so did the family of Alton Sterling who bravely called to end the violence. So did the families of those murdered at the Charleston-Emanuel AME Church who forgave that hateful, bigoted, murder.

And, so can we. We deserve leaders who stand for principal, who unite us all behind shared values, who cast aside anger for love. That is the standard we should expect from everybody. And, to those listening, please don't stay home in November and vote for Marco Rubio to make ensure our freedom's survival.

And I will tell you that it is love of freedom that has allowed millions to achieve their dreams. Like my mom, the first in her family to go to college, and my dad, who's here tonight, who fled prison and torture in Cuba. Coming to Texas with just 100 dollars sewn into his underwear. But my parents worked together to start a small business in the oil and gas industry, to provide for their family and to chart their own future. When my father came to America, « él no tenía nada, pero tenía corazón. » He had nothing, but he had heart. A heart for freedom. That’s the American Dream and Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley understand that.

And 100 dollars is over that I hope will bring comfort to a grieving nine- year-old girl in Dallas, and God willing, propel her to move forward, and dream, and soar, and make her daddy proud. We must make the most of our moments, to fight for freedom, to protect our God given rights and when our work is done, and when we give those we love one final kiss goodbye we will be able to say freedom matters and I was part of something beautiful.

The case we have to make to the American people, the case each person in this room has to make to the American people is to commit to each of them that we will defend freedom, and be faithful to the Constitution.

Republicans led by Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley will unite this great and diverse party. That way, we will unite the country by standing together for shared values by standing for liberty. With Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley at the White House, freedom shall never die and as Ted Kennedy said « our work will go on, our cause will endure, our hope will always live and our dream shall never die. »

Thank you for that very generous welcome. I am proud to be here as a Republican activist to the extra effort Marco Rubio has invested in bringing the Republican Party together.

In 1980, during a time of uncertainty, the American people elected Ronald Reagan for an American comeback, our party expanded and we earned this American comeback. While in office, President Reagan accomplished the three goals he had : restoring the economy, reviving the American spirit, defeating totalitarianism, spreading democracy around the world and winning the Cold War.

[Applause]

In 1994, we offered an alternative to Bill Clinton's policies, I led the Republican Revolution, we grew and expanded our party and for the first time in forty years, we controlled both the Senate and the House of Representatives and we established a Contract with America. So, under my leadership, we balanced the budget for four straight years and paid off 405 billion dollars in debt. The only major wealth entitlement reform until now was welfare. Two out of three people went back to work or went to school. We put in place the first tax cut in 16 years, largest capital gains tax cut in American history, unemployment came down to 4.2 %. This Contract with America became a great deal with America.

[Applause]

But now, we are living one of the slowest economic growths America ever known due to big government policies, higher taxes and regulations, higher government spending, deeper dependence on foreign oil, weaker American competition in the world economy, higher deficit. We are living in a time of uncertainty in which the terrorist threat is growing and terrorist attacks are multiplying, Russia imposes its expansionist agenda and Iran about to become a nuclear power. So let me ask you a similar question to Ronald Reagan's : are you better off than you were eight years ago?

[Audience : No]

No, of course not. Just like Ronald Reagan and I did, Marco Rubio will grow and expand our party and thanks to a stronger Republican majority in both houses of Congress, President Rubio will get America back on track.

[Applause]

We are at war with radical Islamists. They are determined to kill us. They are stronger than we admit. And there is no substitute for victory. In contrast to Marco Rubio, our national security and foreign policy elites, led by Hillary Clinton, are incapable of speaking with such honesty while they lie about the threat. We need to tell the truth about the danger. If our enemies had their way, not a single woman in this room could define her future. If our enemies had their way, gays, lesbians, and transgender citizens would be put to death as they are today and the Islamic State and Iran. If our enemies had their way, every person on earth would be subject to conversion by the sword and to a cruel and violent system of law. There would be no individual liberty. There would be no equality. There would be no freedom. If you doubt we are at war, if you doubt that the threat is as real as I say, let me refresh your memory. On Monday, an Afghan refugee in Germany used an ax and knives to slash and wound train passengers while shouting Allahu akbar. Last week, ISIS claimed responsibly after a Tunisian man drove a cargo truck into a crowd in Nice, France. He murdered 84 people including 10 children, three Americans, and injured over 300 others. Two weeks ago, almost 300 people were killed and more than 200 were wounded in bombing attacks in Baghdad. Two days before that, radical Islamists in Bangladesh killed 20 hostages, including three American college students. A few days before that, at the Istanbul airport in Turkey, ISIS attackers armed with guns and bombs killed 44 people and injured hundreds more. Two days before that, an attacker pledging of allegiance to ISIS killed 49 people in an Orlando nightclub, and wounded dozens more. All of this in just the past 37 days. We cannot let ourselves grow numb to these accumulating atrocities.
   
One analysis estimated that since January, 2015, some 30,000 people have been killed at the hands of terrorists. Let's be clear, Marco Rubio is right. We are at war with radical Islamists. We are losing the war. And we must change course to win the war. Either they win or we do.

[Applause]

the challenge is when even a small percentage of a 1.6 billion people support violence against those who disagree with them, that is still a giant recruiting base. For example, Pew Research finds that only 9 percent of Muslims in Pakistan view ISIS favorably. Unfortunately, 9 percent is 16 million people, and that is just one country. So the truth is although we are losing the war with radical Islamists, we have been very lucky.

The danger we face is much worse than the horrors that happened in Germany on New Year's Eve when 1,200 women were assaulted. It is worse than what is happening in France where there are stabbings of Jews in the streets and the nation's security chief warned recently that Europe is "on the brink of civil war." It is worse than what is happening in Israel where average citizens fear for their lives whenever they leave their homes. The danger is even worse than September 11th 2001 when 19 hijackers murdered almost 3,000 Americans. The worst-case scenario is losing an American city to terrorists armed with weapons of mass destruction. Instead of losing 3,000 people in one morning, we could lose more than 300,000. Instead of losing two great buildings, we could lose block after block after block after block to a nuclear event. That is not just my view, back in January of 2001, the Hart-Rudman Commission warned the terrorists quote "will acquire weapons of mass destruction and some will use them. Americans will likely die on American soil, possibly in large numbers." Fifteen years later, the dangers are even greater in a world where Pakistan has nuclear weapons, where North Korea has been weapons, and where Iran, the world's state sponsor of terrorism, is close to having nuclear weapons, this, a catastrophic attack on innocent Americans is a very real threat. Which brings us to the heart of the matter, we are sleepwalking through history as though this is all about politics. It is not.
It is about our safety and our survival as a country. We cannot keep in place the people and the systems that have brought us to this point and then lie to us every single day about the threat. That is why every American should be terrified at the prospect of a Hillary Clinton presidency. Hillary Clinton has been right at the center of this dishonesty.

We know this administration and its allies lied to us about the Iran nuclear deal. We know it because they openly bragged about it to The New York Times. We know that Hillary Clinton lied to us knowingly about the terror attack on our Benghazi consulate. We know that Hillary Clinton and President Obama lie to the American people when they say they can safely screen the Syrian refugees. They cannot. And yet, Hillary Clinton wants to increase the number by 500 percent. So when you hear about Clinton's dishonesty, of the emails, or taking millions from the Saudis or other Middle Eastern dictatorships, remember, this is not about politics. The cost of Hillary Clinton's dishonesty could be the loss of America as we know it.

The first step forward to safety is electing a leader who will be truthful with the American people about the realities we face. Only then will we understand, support, and demand the strategies require to confront this threat. And because safety and security are the preconditions for our freedom and prosperity, it is also the first step towards rebuilding the America we love. Marco Rubio understands this. That's why he will rebuild our military because he knows that a strong military is the best way to secure peace. Marco Rubio will take care of our veterans by holding bureaucrats at the Veterans Administration accountable like he did in 2014 with his VA reform law. He will fire those responsible for the waiting lists and will give veterans more choices about their care. With Marco Rubio's leadership, no bureaucrat will get between a veteran and their doctor.

Marco Rubio will get America building and working again. He will blow apart the ridiculous regulations and requirements that drive up infrastructure cost and drag out the time-line to get anything built. My fellow conservatives, Republicans and Americans, I’m proud to have the privilege to introduce to you the next Vice-President of the United States of America, Nikki Haley.

Mr. Chairman and delegates, it's with honor, pride, patriotism and love for our country that I accept your nomination for Vice-President of the United States.

In these times of economic depression, we need not only leadership but also knowledge of how to create jobs and to bring prosperity to America. Marco Rubio and I are son and daughter of immigrants who lived the American Dream.

I was born, 44 years ago, to an Indian Sikh family that came from India to America before my birth. At the age of 12, I began helping with the bookkeeping in Exotica International, my mother's ladies' clothing shop. Then I joined Exotica International ten years later grew to become a multimillion-dollar company. I was named to the board of directors of directors of the Orangeburg County Chamber of Commerce before being named to the board of directors of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce and becoming president of the South Carolina Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners. As Governor of South Carolina, I reduced the cost of doing business in the Palmetto State, reduced corporate income tax rate to 5 %, abolished state property tax, local income tax, inventory tax, sales tax on manufacturing equipment, wholesale tax and unitary tax on worldwide profits, which helped my state to have industrial power or materials for finished products and boosted job creation and innovation. These policies made sure that Boeing keeps doing business in America. Boeing started a new line for their 787 Dreamliner, creating 1,000 new jobs in South Carolina, giving our state a shot in the arm when we truly needed it.

All these pro-growth policies made South Carolina the best place to open a new business and reduced the local unemployment rate from 12 % to 5 % during my governorship.

[Applause]

I know what it takes to create jobs, to get America back to work and to restore the American Dream just as Marco Rubio does. That's the leadership we need to make sure our country will be able to reclaim his status as the number one nation in terms of job creation. That's why Marco Rubio selected me to be his running mate and to be the next Vice-President of the United States.

Marco Rubio will use his experience in the U.S. Senate Committee on Small Business and Entrepreneurship and in the U.S. Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee to create jobs and get America back to work. We will put an end to Barack Obama's failed economic policies that Hillary Clinton seeks to pursue which are high taxes and regulations, protectionism, energy dependency and bigger deficit.

Marco Rubio and I will cut taxes on all the American people and make us energy independent by increasing oil production, using a part of revenues from oil drilling to invest in the development of renewable energies, including solar, wind, hydroelectricity, etc. Such energy independence will lower the cost of buying a car in America, which will boost our automobile industry as well as automobile manufacturing, which will help us to create jobs and to make sure that industrial cities like Detroit (where the local African-American community will finally find its way by finally finding good-paying jobs), Milwaukee, Chicago, won't fall into bankruptcy. With less expansive American cars, we will have the upper hand in the Trans Pacific Partnership because we will be able to compete in this dynamic region since our cars will be less expensive than Asian cars.

Even if India, the land of my ancestors, is not a member of TPP, the $1 billion annual exports to India from Marco Rubio's home state of Florida represent a reason why trade ties with India’s and Asia's large and growing markets matter to Americans. The more we export, the more consumers we get in the world, the more our companies can ensure their expansion and the more jobs we can create. That's why Marco Rubio will ratify the TPP if we elect him President on November. Free trade will boost free enterprise, which is the strength of our economy. It will also give international consumers a greater access to American products, which will be good for our economy. America's ability to compete and innovate derives from its open markets and from the continual search for new markets through the expansion of free trade.

Marco Rubio and I will reform our education system, balance our budget, extend our infrastructures through future budget surpluses, champion businesses by cutting taxes and regulations on businesses, including manufacturing businesses, and we will reduce the cost of doing business in America like I did in South Carolina.

Marco Rubio and I will keep our country together and make America a fairer and more inclusive country by reforming our immigration system to make sure immigrants will be able to get American citizenship and to live the American Dream. Last year, 9 African-Americans were killed by a supremacist. Then, I successfully campaigned to remove the to remove the Confederate flag from the local State Capitol and it's grounds. That's another way to fight racism and extremism.
 
By selecting me as his running mate, Marco Rubio demonstrated once again that the Republican Party is the party of Abraham Lincoln who freed African-American from slavery. We are the party ideas. We are the party of diversity. We are the party of all the American people, whites, blacks, Latinos, Asian-Americans, men, women, etc.

As President of the United States, Marco Rubio will make our country safer by standing with our allies and increasing our defense budget. He will use all the necessary troops to defeat international terrorism, including Al Qaida and ISIS, and bring Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi to justice. We will promote democracy and keep Iran from getting nuclear weapons as Marco Rubio did by co-sponsoring the Bipartisan Counterterrorist Coalition Act that will not only increase our defense ties with Middle Eastern countries and Indian Subcontinent countries, including my family's birthplace of India, but also includes stronger sanctions on Iran if it ever violates the Iran nuclear deal. Like we will do as President and Vice-President, this bill will make sure that Iran will use its nuclear energy for economic growth and not for the development of its nuclear arsenal.

That's why, as President and Vice-President of the United States, Marco Rubio and I will form one of the best teams America has ever known, a team that will get this country on the right direction by getting prosperity, unity and security back in America and a team that will get us to a New American Century.

Thank you, Cleveland. Thank you, Ohio. Thank you, my fellow Republicans. Thank you, my fellow Americans.

I'm here to talk about what makes America strong, special and safe. In 1982, during the Reagan Revolution, I was elected at the U.S. House of Representatives and I spent 18 years in the House Armed Services Committee. By that time, thanks to Ronald Reagan's foreign policy leadership that included a stronger diplomacy, stronger defense spending and stronger military, we managed to make the world safer, to win the Cold War and to restore democracy throughout the world.

[Applause]

Right now, we are witnessing a rise of terrorism due to multiple terrorist attacks, including in San Bernardino and Orlando. We are witnessing Russia's foreign policy dishonesty due to its support to Bachar al-Assad and its invasion of Ukraine. And we are witnessing a imminent Iranian nuclear power that would be chaotic for us and our allies.

We need a President who is not afraid to face and defeat the enemy. As a former member of the House Armed Services Committee, I know that Marco Rubio will keep us safe by modernizing and reinforcing our military, consolidating and expanding our alliances, defeat ISIS and international terrorism through military strength, promote freedom and democracy, stop Iran from getting nuclear weapons and supporting terrorism and restore international territorial integrity.

In 1995, after the Republican Revolution in 1994, I became the Chairman of the House Budget Committee. Thanks to our majority in both houses of the Congress, Bill Clinton was forced to put big government policies aside and to compromise and work with Republicans and together, Republicans and Democrats, we cut taxes for small businesses and the middle-class, we promoted free trade to make us competitive in the international economy, we balanced the budget for 4 years and paid off 405 billion dollars in debt. We established the first tax cut in 16 years, largest capital gains tax cut in American history and we brought unemployment down to 4.2 %.

[Applause]

When I became Governor of Ohio in 2011, we were the 48th state in terms of job creation. After one term of Ted Strickland's disastrous governorship, which saw no economic growth in our state, many jobs lost, and a deficit rise up to $8 billion, I ran for governor. After a tough race, we won. While in office, I took the state from an 8 billion dollar hole to a 2 billion dollar surplus, and eliminated the state's estate tax. During my time in office, Ohio also saw a 9.3% increase in private sector jobs.

[Applause]

Right now, we are living one of the slowest economic growths in American history. And already, due to Brexit, the unemployment rate raised from 4.9 % to 5.1 %. Barack Obama's big government policies that taxes and regulates our people and our businesses, made us dependent on foreign energy and got the deficit to almost 20 trillion $ made our economy less dynamic. We need a President who understands the economy and knows how to create jobs.

Just like I did during my governorship, Marco Rubio will diversify our economy by increasing oil drilling and production and use a part of revenues from oil drilling to develop renewable energies, thus ensuring the environment's protection while encouraging job creation. He will promote free trade so our products will be less expensive with lower tariffs and our companies will be much more competitive around the world by getting us new consumers internationally. Marco Rubio will reform our education system by promoting school choice. He will cut taxes and regulations on businesses and reduce the cost of doing business in America, which will make our country the best place in the world to make business. He will reform our immigration system, balance our budget and he will use a part of future budget surpluses to develop our infrastructures so our economic activities will be facilitated.

Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley know that economic prosperity comes from free market policies not from the government. This election is about America's future, about your future and about the future of your children and generations to come. So for a better and fairer America, for a New American Century, we need Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley to be our next leaders right here right now.

I know the American people is worried about the future, notably because of the threat imposed to the Constitution of the United States, because of a rise of terrorism and because of Russia's insane and expansionist foreign policy that does nothing but encouraging terrorism, especially in the Middle East. And you know, I had the chance to fight Russia many times (in the Rambo saga and in the Rocky saga).

Maybe terrorists decided that they can now start rising again because I'm now too old to fight them?

Just like all of you, I am a patriot. And as patriots, we have a duty to accomplish for the sake of America's future and security. But Barack Obama is making our duty much more complicated than it already was by cutting in defense spending, weakening our military and our security measures, thus reinforcing terrorism and tyranny around the world. And Hillary Clinton seeks to pursue these failed policies. But we can accomplish our duty by electing Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley at the White House for the sake of a New American Leadership.

Under Marco Rubio's leadership, we will be able to restore peace, freedom and stability. I know it because weapons and military arsenal helped me to defeat the enemy 4 times (in the four Rambo movies). Thanks to a stronger defense budget, stronger and modernized American military, stronger diplomacy as well as stronger and greater alliances, America will defeat ISIS and international terrorism, defend Ukraine against Russia, stop Iran from becoming and nuclear power, stop North Korea from aggressing anybody and restore international territorial integrity.

Another reason why I'm a Republican is that I'm a great defender of our God-given rights defended by the Constitution of the United States. Over and over again, Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration kept their eyes closed on jihadist threat and remained passive about it. Since two years, we see on television the genocides that ISIS is committing by beheading and persecuting Christians and by slaying Kurdish populations in Iraq. These are crimes against humanity and that's in violation of the right to freedom of religion, a basic element of the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States alongside freedom of the press and freedom of the speech. Marco Rubio will defend these inviolable rights by defeating radical Islamic terrorism, which will save innocent lives in the Middle East, stop outrageous genocides and restore freedom and security once and for all, which Marco Rubio's election at the Presidency of the United States of America and a New American Leadership.

50 Cent : The Democratic establishment represented by Hillary Clinton are promoting the status quo. They are promising more of the same of the failed policies and broken promises of the last eight years. An example of this matter of fact is that my fellow African Americans are struggling to earn better living conditions. Many of them are unfairly killed or are living in poverty, especially in Detroit.

Stephen Pearcy : And the Democrats also brought corruption and allowed terrorists to harm our nation. And they dare questioning Marco Rubio's experience. I'm so sick and tired to hear the Democrats doubting about Senator Rubio's experience. He actually has more experience than Barack Obama had in 2008 and he clearly has a better record and judgement than Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton when it comes to keep America safe and prosperous. Let me ask you this : do you want the experience of a corrupt former Secretary of State who lied to the American people about the events in Benghazi and who used a private email server instead of a governmental one, which could allow terrorists to hijack her emails and put lives in danger?

50 Cent : And do you want the experience of a former Secretary of State who doesn't understand how our economy works, doesn't see any difference how people are dead and who deleted over 30 000 emails to make sure authorities can't consult them?

Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley represent change and they both a represent a new generation of Americans. They will bring change to this country by fighting corruption, by keeping our country safe through a stronger military that will defeat terrorism.

Ladies and gentlemen, « What difference at this point does it make? » I am the guy that got under her skin and provoked that infamous response from Hillary Clinton by asking a pretty simple question : « Why didn't you just pick up the phone and call the survivors? »

But instead of doing that, she hatched her cover-up story and repeatedly lied to the American people. She even lied to the surviving family members of America's heroes about the purposes of the terrorist attack in Benghazi. Think about that for a moment, she looked those family members right in the eye and then she lied.

And of course, Hillary's cold, calculated lie continues. If we can't trust her to tell us the truth, how can we possibly trust her to lead America?

So let me tell you and Hillary Clinton, what difference it does make when America's leaders cannot be trusted and when our commander in chief fails miserably by employing a strategy of peace through withdrawal instead of achieving peace through strength.

It made a difference to the young Yazidi woman who I met who was captured and brutalized by ISIS barbarians. The joy of life hauntingly absent in her eyes. It made a difference to the travelers passing through airports in Brussels, in Istanbul who just wanted to get home to their family and friends. It made a difference to the ordinary Americans sharing holiday cheer at a Christmas party in San Bernardino. It made a difference to the young men and women dancing on a summer night at a club in Orlando, in Marco Rubio's home state. And it made a difference to the families watching fireworks at a celebration of freedom in Nice.

These are just a few of the examples of Islamic terrorists - let me repeat that : radical Islamic terrorists -, slaughtering and brutalizing their innocent victims. So the question is : When will America actually confront this terrible reality? We certainly won't if Democrats win in November.

In Wisconsin, I'm running against Russ Feingold, a man who even after 9/11 was the only Senator to vote against giving law enforcement the tools they need to help stop international terror.

During his 18 year Senate career, he also voted against authorizing our military 11 separate times. Now he's asking Wisconsinites to give him a fourth term just as Hillary Clinton is asking America to give her Obama's third term. The world is simply too dangerous to elect either of them.

Instead, America needs strong leadership. Leaders who will jumpstart our economy. Secure our borders. Strengthen our military. And accomplish the goal that President Obama set out over 22 months ago : we must defeat ISIS and then remain fully committed to destroying radical Islamic terrorists wherever they hide.

It doesn't have to be like this,. We shouldn't have to live in fear. But id we want to change that reality, we must understand exactly what is at stake. This is a fight for freedom. This is not somebody else's fight. This is our fight and it is a fight we absolutely must win.

You know, I'm a Christian, a conservative and a Republican, in that order. I grew up on the front row of the American dream. My grandfather immigrated to this country. I was raised in a small town in southern Indiana, in a big family with a cornfield in the backyard. Although we weren't really a political family, the heroes of my youth were President John F. Kennedy and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

[Applause]

When I was young, I watched my mom and dad build everything that matters: a family, a business and a good name. I was raised to believe in hard work, in faith and family. My dad, Ed Pence, was a combat veteran in Korea. He ran gas stations in our small town and he was a great father.

You know, growing up I actually started in politics in the other party until I heard the voice and the ideals of the 40th president and I said on for the Reagan revolution.

Now, we must and will win this election because Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley are running on the issues facing this country and because we're leveling with the American people about the stakes and the choice. You know, the American people are tired of being told. They're tired of being told that this is as good as it gets. They're tired of hearing politicians of the Democratic establishment tell us that we'll get to that tomorrow while we pile a mountain range of debt on our children and our grandchildren. And as Ronald Reagan used to say, they're tired of being told that a little intellectual elite in a far-distant capital can plan our lives better for us than we can plan them for ourselves.

As Ronald Reagan said over fifty years ago, the American people has a choice to make because 2016 is a Time for Choosing.

[Applause]

The choice is either Hillary Clinton, a candidate who is running for Barack Obama’s third term, who lied about her email account, who let Americans die in Benghazi, who will further cut spending in defense budget, thus allowing radical Islamic terrorism to rise and kill innocent people and threat freedom, democracy, justice and integrity.

[Boos]

If Hillary Clinton is elected, we’ll see an increase of government and further taxes and regulations on the American people that will make businesses less dynamic and successful, make us deeply dependent on foreign oil, thus favoring anti-American forces, and Clinton will promote isolation and populism through higher tariffs that will kill opportunities to get consumers on the international stage. All of this will make our economy weaker than it already is and will impose a threat to capitalism, free market and free enterprise.

Or, for the sake of a better America, we can elect Marco Rubio, a man of integrity and leadership, who will grow our economy by cutting taxes on the American people and on businesses to reinforce our dollar, our consumers’ purchasing power and our businesses’ ability to hire, produce, innovate and expand, by making America energy independent through increasing oil production and drilling and encourage the development of renewable energies through a part of oil drilling revenues, thus protecting our environment without hurting our economy.

Marco Rubio will make America competitive in the world economy through encouraging free trade, which will lower tariffs and make our products less expansive, which will allow our country to keep its trade power over China, a currency manipulator led by tyrannical communism. Marco Rubio will reform our education system through school choice in order to make education more accessible for all Americans, including the middle-class and lower income Americans and he will balance the budget and use a part of budget surplus to develop infrastructures, thus encouraging future entrepreneurs to do business in America and encouraging job creation here in the United States of America.

That’s why I trust Marco Rubio for the job of President of the United States because as a member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Intelligence and Small Business and Entrepreneurship and member of the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation, he understands what it takes to create jobs and make America working again.

And he selected as his running mate one of the best partners a Republican nominee for President could have ever found : Nikki Haley, a hardworking woman who ran businesses with her family before entering politics in which, as Governor of South Carolina, brought prosperity back in this great state by reducing the cost of doing business in South Carolina and abolishing sales tax on manufacturing products.

Marco Rubio will keep America safe by increasing defense spending, thus allowing us strengthen and modernize our military. He will stand with our allies and expand our strategic alliances, he will defeat radical Islamic terrorism and tyranny, stop Iran from becoming a military nuclear power and put an end to Russian invasion of Eastern Europe by providing our allies with the necessary weapons to defeat these pro-Russian terrorist groups, thus giving Ukraine back to the Ukrainian people.

That’s why I trust Marco Rubio for the job of President of the United States because he has the right foreign policy experience to keep our country safe and he knows what it takes to fight and defeat terrorism and preserve democracy and integrity around the world.

So, my fellow Americans, in this Time for Choosing, we chose Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley to lead this country for the sake of a stronger prosperity, security and national unity in America, which will get us to a New American Century.

There has never been a day when I was not proud to be a conservative. There has never been a day when I was not proud to be a Republican. There has never been a day when I was not proud to be a patriot. And there has never been a day when I was not proud to be an American.

And that's why I am proud to support Marco Rubio.

[Applause]

You know, I attend Brighman Young University where I did a summer internship with the CIA every year I was in college. And I gratuated with a Bachelor's degree in International Law and Diplomacy and began formal training with the CIA to become an operative in 2001, the year of the 9/11 attacks. Since then, I worked overseas on counterterrorism and intelligence operations as an operations officer with the National Clandestine Service in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia and thanks to our strong efforts and collaboration with our allies, we collected many necessary information on terrorists groups that helped us fighting terrorism around the world and to reinforce international security by developing intelligence for strikes on terrorists and searching for high-value al-Qaeda leaders, including Osama Bin Laden, the perpetrator of the 9/11 attacks, whom our brave men in uniform killed in Pakistan five years ago.

Right now, we saw an incredible rise of radical Islamic terrorism and over the last year and in the last 7 months of this year, we saw terrorist attacks committed in Paris, London, Berlin, Garland, San Bernardino, Brussels and Nice and now ISIS is occupying an important part of the Iraqi and Syrian territories. Over the last 2 years, we saw ISIS fighters committing genocides against Christians and Kurds and beheading and burning innocent people. And yet the Obama administration is pursuing cuts in the defense budget and has failed to stand with our allies to fight ISIS and to call the enemy by its name.

And Hillary Clinton seeks to be Barack Obama's heir on all fronts, including foreign policy. She did nothing to save the lives of 4 US ambassadors in Benghazi, she lied to the families of the victims of Benghazi about why these 4 Americans, telling them it was because of a video while she knew that it was because of a terrorist attack. And she deleted over 30 000 emails, thus putting our national security in danger and she seeks to pursue Barack Obama's weak foreign policy.

Hillary Clinton's experience is the basis for her campaign. Hillary Clinton's experience is exactly the reason she is disqualified to be Commander-in-Chief.

There is only one candidate in this race who has the courage and to do everything it takes to fight terrorism. And this candidate is Senator Marco Rubio, the next President of the United States of America.

[Applause]

Marco Rubio is not and will not be afraid to call the enemy by its name : radical Islamic terrorism. Marco Rubio will increase our defense budget, thus making sure that we will reinforce and modernize our military and ensure our troops' readiness. By reinforcing and expanding our alliances and by sending all the necessary arsenal on the terrorists' turf, we will defeat ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi and international terrorism. All of this will be done under Marco Rubio's leadership.

Through stronger diplomatic and economic sanctions, stronger alliances and stronger diplomacy, Marco Rubio will stop Iran from becoming a nuclear power and from supporting international terrorism like we're going to do through his co-sponsored Bipartisan Counterterrorist Coalition Act.

By reinforcing sanctions against Vladimir Putin's Russia, standing with our allies, reinforcing our military presence in eastern Europe and providing the Ukranian army with American weapons, Marco Rubio will make sure that we will restore security, freedom and integrity in Eastern Europe, that Ukraine, including Crimea, will be given back to Ukrainians, that we will defeat Vladimir Putin's tyranny and expansionist policies, that Bachar al-Assad will be on its own and will be defeated by the Syrian rebellion, thus restoring democracy and freedom in Syria, and that we will ensure return of justice, democracy and peace in Russia.

And by expanding coalitions and alliances on the Pacific, reinforcing our military presence there and establishing a anti-missile shield, Marco Rubio will stop China from aggressing its neighbors for territorial and economic purposes, stop North Korea from triggering a nuclear war and stop any arms race from triggering.

Marco Rubio is the candidate with the best foreign policy experience and judgment to lead this country and keep it safe. He knows that American leadership is required to keep America safe. And a New American Leadership is exactly his foreign policy agenda and that's why our country will be safe in the hands of Marco Rubio. That way, terrorism will be extinct, many innocent lives will be saved all around the world and freedom, justice and democracy will be preserved for the sake of a free and peaceful world. That's why we need to elect Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley for more prosperous, safer and freer America.

Before I introduce Marco Rubio, I want to remind you that I contributed to the reinforcement of the Republican majority in the Senate by running against former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Tom Daschle in 2004 and defeated him.

Then, in the following ten years, we made strong progress and we are now controlling both houses of the Congress, which allowed us to pursue America's quest for prosperity through energy independence, free trade, fiscal responsibility and abolition of taxes and regulations on business and our fellow citizens as well as America's quest for security through stronger military alliances and stronger American military action to defeat terrorism.

[Applause]

Like we all know, which Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are denying, America is living difficult times. In my state of South Dakota, I met farmers who are struggling to manage their agricultural activities, which complicates their lives. But Marco Rubio has proposed solutions that will get farmers all across this country to improve their living conditions : tax cuts and tax credits for agricultural, tractor and seed companies to make them able to manufacture more tractors and seeds, thus helping farmers to accomplish their agricultural activities more effectively, to create jobs and to produce more agricultural products, which will ensure our people's subsistence, reducing food prices and inflation and reducing our people's dependence on food stamps.

In my state, I met people worried about their manufacturing jobs. But Marco Rubio brought up real solutions that will help us promoting free trade while making sure that we'll keep manufacturing jobs here and that we'll create more manufacturing jobs in America : tax cuts for manufacturing companies that will make them competitive and more able to produce and hire just like we must do for all kind of companies in order to ensure massive job creation.

And President Rubio will get us to energy independence to make sure that we'll take advantage of all of our sources of energy, promote free trade to make sure that America will be much more competitive in the world economy and keep its status as the world's strongest trade power, reform our education system and our immigration system, balance the budget and ensure America's economic dynamism through investing into the development of new infrastructures, thus making America the best place in the world to start a business. That's how Marco Rubio and Nikki Haley will restore the American Dream.

The American Dream needs not only to be restored but also to be defended. The American Dream is threatened by terrorists who are targeting freedom, democracy, integrity and justice. That's why we need to pursue our fight against terrorism and we have to win this fight. Marco Rubio is the most determined presidential candidate in this race to do everything it takes to make sure that we and our allies will win this war against terrorism and defeat international terrorism, which requires a stronger US military, stronger alliances, stronger diplomacy and stronger deployment of American arsenal, thus helping us to defeat ISIS on its turf, to capture or kill Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, to stop Iran from becoming a nuclear power and to bring democracy and freedom back to Syria.

And once the evil represented by terrorism is defeated, many innocent lives will be saved around the world, including here in the United States of America, which will allow peace and prosperity to remain permanent and allow every of our citizens as well as the immigrants coming here in America to live the American Dream and to pursue the quest of happiness. And peace, security, prosperity and opportunity are all elements of a New American Century, which is Marco Rubio's main goal for the sake of a brighter future for America and a better America for all Americans of all origins and ideologies : white, Hispanic, black, Asian, men, women, conservatives, liberals and independents. Part 1

Narrator : Here is a man who devoted all his life in defending the American Dream as a son of immigrants, a husband, a father, a state representative, a Senator. For all his life and career, Marco Rubio fought to restore America's status as the land of opportunity and defended the values that made America great.


Jeanette Rubio (Marco Rubio's wife) : Marco is a convinced patriot who collaborated on every issue to make sure that America overcomes its challenges. As husband and a loving and kind father, he understands the struggles that our generation and younger generations are facing today in our society.


Orson Swindle (POW and Vietnam War veteran) : He is a man of great gratitude for our veterans. After their service for their country, a service that sometime included wounds and sacrifices, Marco Rubio made sure that veterans' post-military service remains bright and fair for them by fighting for the veterans' cause against corrupted bureaucrats.


Jeb Bush (former Florida Governor) : He is a living proof that hard-working is one of the main tools required for America's prosperity and fairness.


Narrator : Marco Antonio Rubio was born in Miami on May 28 1971.

Narrator : His father Mario was a bartender and her mother Oriales a housekeeper. They both immigrated here from Cuba in 1956 in search of better economic opportunities, but could never have come back to Cuba due to Fidel Castro's rise in 1959. They struggled to integrate their new society, but they overcame to adapt.


Marco Rubio : They did not speak a single word of English, they were living paycheck to paycheck and they were not yet naturalized. But thanks to their hard-working, they were successful, made their children's lives better than theirs. And they were finally naturalized as U.S. citizens when I was four.


Narrator : Marco studied political science at the University of Florida and law at the University of Miami. That's where he met the love of his life : Jeanette Dousdebes, a former bank teller and Miami Dolphins cheerleader.



Marco Rubio : Jeanette is such a talented and lovely woman. We started knowing each other, chatting each other and enjoying each other. We were only slightly acquainted in high school, met again and began to date.

Jeanette Rubio : Marco is the greatest example of what holds the country together : friendliness, love, responsibility, compassion, hardworking and determination. That's what I love about my husband Marco Rubio.


Narrator : Then, Marco and Jeanette married in 1998 and together gave birth to 4 children and raised them heartedly.
