This is exciting. It must be strange for our Scottish members that half the forum is more emotionally invested in the outcome than they are, though.
That's because most of us come from places that have no logical reason for secession what so ever Tongue. It is very exciting from an international perspective, and most Americans like Scotland, be it because of Braveheart or their own ancestry.

Weird how we all still seem to hate Quebec though.

If you've talked with a Quebecker, it wouldn't seem so weird.

Usually secessions are bloody affairs.  There have been very few peaceful secessions in history.  KY from VA in 1792 and WV from VA in 1863 are the only two I know of in US history.

You forgot Maine from Massachusetts in 1820, and de jure, tho not de facto, Vermont was a secession from New York.  Tennessee was an indirect secession from North Carolina, tho it went thru a stage of being the Southwest Territory.
