If and when Democrats take the Senate, they should not confirm any more Trump nominees for anything.  And if a Supreme Court justice dies or retires, they should take a page from Mitch McConnell and not let Trump replace him or her until a Democrat is once again in the White House.  And just for good measure, Chuck Schumer should read McConnell's words justifying his obstruction of Merrick Garland's nomination right back at him if he objects.

Just vote them down. Like Republicans should have done with Merrick Garland.

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee meets at 5 ET today to consider the Pompeo nomination. A livestream will be available at https://www.foreign.senate.gov/hearings/business-meeting-042318 when it's time. Please note that the committee will also consider several lesser-profile nominations at the meeting.

I think Rand Paul is probably the second-saddest spineless mollusk in the Senate, closely following Ted Cruz.

There is no bigger joke in politics than the Pauls' supposed "ideological consistency."

And Trump didn't want to nominate Carson to a post he actually might be slightly more qualified for, why?

For that matter, why not nominate, say Tammy Duckworth...maybe she'll actually say yes.

At the time that decision was made, it was because Tom Price was a key part of the existing ObamaCare Repeal efforts. And Republicans wouldn't agree to confirm Duckworth.

Yeah but Cruz is definitely sadder, considering what Trump made him go through during the campaign Tongue

So what did this guy do? Sexual abuse or corruption or both seem to be the hallmarks of Trumpists.
