If folks keeping refusing to handcuff their backs, I'll keep taking the wins they provide.

Glen Coffee, meet St. Louis run D (then Atlanta and Houston run D, if Gore stays hurt).

I'm quite happy with my team's consistency - mid-60 point range should win the matchup most weeks.

Also - I'm not going to pick them up now, but Tennessee's D will be fantasy-startable at some point later on in the season.  Jeff Fisher has a long history of turning around defenses mid-season.

Tooting my own horn here, but I think the best FA pick so far this year has to be Steve Smith (NYG).  Probably going to have the best WR stats (except for maybe Andre Johnson) after this week.

3rd year is usually when WRs make that jump.

Well, unless Roethlisberger has a career day, my week is pretty well over.  With all of my players except two having taken the field, I am down to a team that still have five guys gearing up for tonight or tomorrow.

I'm changing my prediction based off the 49ers Defense racking up 39 fantasy points.

Today was a good day to start Shaun Hill and Brandon Marshall. And with that, Miami Lice moves to 3-1.

12 points from Minnesota's D and I've got the high score of the fantasy year so far.  Tongue (possibly first place in the league too - though New City can still win)

Haha, yeah right.
(For all those who can't see, I currently have 11 points...total)
Romo was terrible for me yesterday. My recievers combined for less than 3 points. My only remaining players are Longwell and Peterson and Green Bay. The last two will cancel each other out, but I could score more with Peterson. I'll be luck to break 40 points.

You should get an automatic loss.

2 kickers = stupid
2 kickers in a league with only 6 bench players = even stupider
2 kickers with the same bye = stupid and blind

Will post the standings after the game tonight as the results for one of the matchups for this week isn't certain yet.

One of my favorite moments in my old-timers league occurred many years ago, the first season TO played with Philly.  Needless to say, he was the only bright spot of that season (early on, at least before he got injured).

Anyway, it must have been Week 6 or so and I was down 80-40 for the week with only TO left to play on Monday night (against Dallas I believe).  My opponent, the league commissioner, even wrote a taunting post in the chat box about the win on Monday before the game.

It was just one of those nights.  TO caught 3 TDs and had 243 yards receiving.  Our league gives 1 point for every ten yards, so I ended up winning 82-80.

My team sucked that year, but I crowed about it the whole year.

The point:  It can happen.  Especially since you have three players left (though it is tougher to get points in this league).

I don't think having two kickers is the worst idea in the world, as long as you make good judgements in rotating them (for instance, do you expect their offense to get into to field goal range alot that week... how is the Red Zone Defense of the team they are against?).  But, having two who have the same bye is an epic fail.  I think having two TE's is pretty stupid.

I am amazed by the number of teams in our league that aren't keeping two defenses.  That perplexes me, as that seems such an obvious thing to want in my mind.  Especially since it is alot easier to predict how well a defense will do compared to, say, a WR.

I would like to dedicate this weeks win to Mike Singletary and the 49ers Defense.  Without their amazing performance, no victory would have been possible.  Much like Coach Singletary, I want winners.  I want people who want to win.  And I've got'em.

REPEAT?

I hate kickers.  I would prefer to have none at all, but eventually I'll find one I like and stick with him.  Right now, I'm just playing the matchups.

Normally, I would agree on the 2 TEs, but TEs have been so productive this year in the NFL and our league provides more emphasis on TDs than normal Yahoo leagues that I've kept two TEs to feast on matchups where TEs will get TDs so far.

In fact, I really have been playing matchups a lot this year (not just this league), more often than I have in the past, and seem to be doing better with it.  There's no starter, except for Ronnie Brown, that I have not rested at least once so far and the strength of Miami's power rushing offense is a good reason for that (not to mention the weakness of the last 3 rushing Ds).  I'm going to continue to try and capitalize on that next week with Jerome Harrison (Cleveland may suck, but Buffalo's run D has not stopped anyone this season and Harrison will continue to get all the carries if Jamal Lewis is out - plus, with Derek Anderson running things, Cleveland will at least be able to move the ball)

I agree on keeping 2 defenses, but I normally only do that after I get past major bye week troubles (and we get a better feeling for defenses).  That week, for me, is next week, when my tandem of Rodgers/Cutler goes on bye.  Minnesota is ok until then, especially with next week's matchup (St. Louis - lol)

So, high score in the league this week so far this year - 109.77.  And first place in the league.  I'll take that after 4 games.
