Ah, you're correct. I'll go ahead and change all of Lief's votes to what Jas did.

If for some reason it was accepted, then it would become the text of the bill. However, Lewis and any other Senator has twenty-four hours to object to the friendly amendment.

I don't intend to officially open debate on SPC's amendment until after your amendment has been voted upon, and since DWTL can only accept as a friendly once debate has started on it...

All the stuff you said about the OSPR is right, of course. I suppose I could just throw it out as frivolous.

Jas' amendment may actually be acceptable - we're supposed to allow legislative functions to continue uninterrupted, and the only thing it mentions that a new Senator may alter in Article 9 is votes... I'll take a closer look at it after a sleep a few hours.

In the event that I decide to allow it though it would be considered before SPC's, of course.

Final Tally

Aye: 5 (Lewis, AndrewCT, HappyWarrior, Lief, Bacon King)
Nay: 4 (DWTL, PiT, Torie, SPC)
Abstain (Did not vote): 1 (Al)

With five in favor, four opposed and one abstaining, the amendment passes.

We're now voting on the Jas/Bacon King amendment.

With three in favor, five opposed and two abstaining, the amendment does not pass.

We will now move to consider SPC's amendment. Sen. DWTL, do you accept it as friendly/does any Senator object to it being accepted should DWTL accept it?

SPC's amendment has not been accepted. He may ask for a vote on it if he wishes.

Debate on DWTL's amendment to restore the bill to its original form must be debated for at least twenty-four hours.
