Intriguing stuff actually, but I don't think it would have much of an effect. I mean, Obama's already winning women handily, and men wouldn't care at all. Also, a first or second child, to make that nice nuclear look, is one thing, but I think a third just wouldn't have the same punch.

Side Note: Under no circumstances should something like this ever change someone's vote, but that doesn't mean it doesn't sometimes.

I doubt such an announcement would have any effect.  What would have an effect, tho I would expect it would only be leaked and not announced, would be if was revealed that Michelle had had an abortion.  Not that I expect that to be the case.

I think an abortion might help the GOTV efforts for some pro-choice women.  But it would be a huge scandal for the right-wing press; and could motivate the christian conservatives to vote.  But for all the coverage that abortion gets in the liberal media, I think most average white Americans don't think about it much at all, or its very low on their list of concerns.  Abortion is really only a priority issue for white women.

Ew, it always freaks me out when women dangerously close to menopause become pregnant. It's obviously not safe for the woman and especially the baby. I mean, I can barely watch 30 Rock anymore because Liz Lemon is trying to get pregnant and she's in her early 40s.
