Having said that, however, BRTD, let's be real here: is this really any different from Dude Fest in any way except gender politics and whether or not your personal taste in music is being elevated?

First of all there was nothing "gender politics" about Dude Fest despite the name, and it had plenty of females in attendance. And lots of Dude Fest bands promoted progressive gender politics. You wouldn't find any conservatives at Dude Fest.

Second of all, Dude Fest was an actual live music fest. Not just a DJ playing one artist's music.
