Interview With the Vampire

It was pretty good.  I enjoyed it (especially the end), even though I went into it with low expectations.

Life of Pi

This was an excellent movie.  I loved the book and I am shocked that they were able to make such a good movie out of it (the book doesn't exactly lend itself to being a movie).  To be honest, there were several points in the movie where I actually teared up.  However, this movie probably isn't for everyone.  There is a lot of symbolism (especially regarding religion) and the movie has quite a head on its shoulders.  Also, I'd highly recommend seeing it in 3D which legitimately makes the movie better.  And I say that as someone who has been very critical of the idea of 3D movies (generally they're just an excuse to charge more money for tickets).

Killing Them Softly

Awful movie, Ben Mendelsohn and especially Scoot McNairy were pretty good in it though.

August: Osage County - Don't believe the reviews, this was an excellent movie.  I went in expecting not to like it that much, but it was excellent (especially Streep and Martindale's performances).  A-

Her: I can't really do this movie justice except to say it was an amazing movie, probably the second best of the year after 12 Years a Slave.  More than worth the price of admission A++

Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom: The stuff about Winnie Mandela and how she became a monster was really good, but the rest of the movie is like a class on how not to make a biopic.  Kinda like how W. was great at depicting George W. Bush's relationship with his Dad from both their perspectives, but sucked at everything else.  C-

The Wolf of Wall Street: I liked it, but I was expecting to love it.  DiCaprio gave a great performance though, as usual.  B+

American Hustle: Great acting, entertaining, excellent dialogue, but not really about anything.  This movie is about 99.99% fiction and Jennifer Lawrence is ridiculously miscast (she looks about 20 years too young for the role and it gets distracting nor can she pull off the accent), but I still liked it. Mitt

Good documentary, shows the human side of him.

If you prick him, does he not bleed?
