There's no need to ban Simfan, that's just preposterous.  Everybody's political views evolve over time.  I don't think this thread should be lock, because I don't see personal attacks, just curiosity, albeit a little elevated curiosity, but there is no need to ban him.  I am proud to consider Simfan a friend.  Lay off him, folks!

1. I'm not at all a hardened leftist, i'm just not the superdedicatedbrainwashed Republican I was during the election season.

2. What I asked him was if he thought we were attacking him because he became a leftist, but never once implying that there was anything wrong with it.

And apparently a hell of a lot more convincing -which doesn't make his views any less contrived than they were before.  

Opebo's sole desire is to be comfortable satisfying his selfish and self-centered desires (i.e. screwing prostitutes).  And he will support any ideology or personality (i.e. Qaddafi) whom he views as most likely to accommodate him.  That is all.  Everything else is merely fluff.
