Shame.  I was hoping they'd lose the season, but it appears the Grinch stole Christmas again.

Essentially the same except I hope the nba would never recover.

Oklahoma City needs the NBA.  Thunder home games bring in roughly $1 million dollars each game so in a full season that's a little over $40 million.  This season that will be $33 million or so.  Of course, with our success in the 2011 Playoffs, the Thunder brought in an extra $10 million to our City.  We are expected to contend for the Western Division crown again this year (that kind of prediction scares me to death), so hopefully we can get closer to a full season's worth of revenue.

I like this new CBA as it gives the small market teams like the Thunder a better chance to compete in getting the really good players that always seem to go to the Lakers, Mavs, Heat, or Celtics, your large market franchises, and gives us a very good chance at keeping arguably two of the leagues best young players in Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

Oklahoma didn't seem to need the Thunder before 2008 did they? Perhaps they should return to their rightful (and much larger market) city.

Oh my goodness, are Washington residents STILL that bitter?  Gee whiz, put it to rest, Oklahoma City deserves an NBA team just as much as any other major city in the United States.

To be fair, that was rather worse.

It was. Trust me, I know. But it's been almost 28 years. We have a team, and a Super bowl title. But some people here still aren't over it.

Maybe the Clippers will move up the coast to Seattle once the Kings are in Anaheim.

Problem is, while I do wish Seattle would get another team, I want them to get a winning ball club.  The Thunder started winning in the second half of the first season in Oklahoma City and we have been in the playoffs two straight years.  Seattle deserves a winning ball club in the mold of what the Sonics used to be.  Although, if we add a team in Seattle, we would probably have to add a team in the eastern conference.  Norfolk, anyone?

God no.  It'd be somewhere like Baltimore, or St. Louis.  Not Norfolk.  What the fuck is in Norfolk?

A lot of people thought the same thing about Oklahoma City.  Plus, what is there to do in Salt Lake City?

Neither St. Louis nor Baltimore were able to hold onto the teams they once had.  Besides, there really is no need to have a team in both D.C. and Baltimore.

If the Clippers decide being the #3 team in Southern California is not what they want, then a move to Seattle requires the least mucking around with the divisions.

However, having said that, it would be interesting to have Clippers move to Baltimore.

Kansas City really wants a team to fill that arena of theirs, although the terms of the arena deal mean that it might not be feasible.

What about a team in Cincinnati?  You've already got the Bengals and Reds.

Buy alcohol from the state of Utah, if you can find a store.

Well, I'm not from Cincy (tho I love WKRP, especially this time of year)  However I'd rather see a reincarnated Kentucky Colonels than a reincarnated Cincinnati Royals precisely because Cincy has other major league teams while Louisville does not.

The players have voted and authorized the union to be reformed.

Any body know when the season schedule will be released?
