Looks like another election in which forming a coalition is going to be hard to do.

Nah, PRC-PDS-PPI seems workable, if a bit shaky.

Of course, everything would be easier if only we passed electoral reform... Tongue

Regardless, it's interesting that, in this forum even more than IRL, the Second Republic has brought some bipolarization.

I'm also surprised AN isn't doing any better. I mean, I thought there would be a bit more right-wingers too uncomfortable to vote for Berlusconi, and Fini is actually a decent right-wing alternative.

Turnout seems a bit anemic...

I think some of the right wingers saw "fascism" in the description and went for Berlusconi. Plus AN isn't very economically liberal is it?

It's certainly not as flamboyant about economic liberalism as FI is, but it is still a solid right-wing party on all issues. As for fascism, there are certainly quite a few neofascists left into the party, but the new ideological line has pretty clearly turned away from that (even DN wasn't properly a neofascist party).

PRC-PDS-FV now have a narrow majority.

PDS is probably the best choice.

Also, I wonder what's causing a surge in Radical support? They were moribund in the last 2 or 3 cycles...

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

Well, in-universe the major parties did just kind of fall to wrack and ruin between the last election and this one...

A Pannella vote sparked by anti-establishment sentiments? Yeah, I guess that could work. Thanks I'm always in search for credible explanations for the evolution of each party - it's not always easy. Wink

Hopefully, yeah... Though they could still get a narrow majority.
