The road of life is rocky and you may stumble too, so while you point your fingers someone else is judging you.
You ain't gonna miss your water until your well runs dry; no matter how you treat him, the man will never be satisfied

Quote
As I'm laying out my winter clothes
And wishing I was gone
Going home
Where the New York City winters
Aren't bleeding me

In the clearing stands a boxer
And a fighter by his trade
And he carries with him the reminders
Of every glove that laid him down
Or cut him till he cried out
In his anger and his shame
"I am leaving, I am leaving"
But the fighter still remains,

Man---- totally bummed out that I didn't see Green Day live back in '90 before they became popular when they played at a House Party for a Birthday of someone I knew through the scene.

My recollection is that I thought they "Weren't really Punk Rock" even though I was invited to the gig, which was an event of <100 people in someone's basement in the "Downtown" area of a City which was at that time of some 35k people....

Thanks for the memories!!!!

No prob bruh. I saw them live many times after the American Idiot album came out when I was just an emo kid in high school.

Their favorite song of mine tho is One of my lies from the Kerplunk album which, if you listen closely, is the same exact chords from their song Basketcase but tuned 2 frets higher.

Quote
When I was younger
I thought the world circled around me
But in time I realized I was so wrong
My immature thoughts turned into just dreams of a dead future
It was a tragic case of my reality

Do you think you're indestructible
And no one can touch you?
Well I think you're disposable
And it's time you knew the truth
Cause it's just one of my lies!

Why does my life have to be so small?
Yet death is forever
And does forever have a life to call its own?
Don't give me an answer cause you
Only know as much as I know
Unless you've been there once
well I hardly think so

I used to pray all night
Before I lay myself down
My mother said it was right
Her mother said it too...
Why?
