I noticed that Dennis Hof only won Nye, his home county, when he won the Assembly primary. Why did he lose Clark and Lincoln?

Nye County and Pahrump in particular are special, ultra-libertarian places. Lincoln County is much more Mormon, and probably doesn't like brothel owners much.

That makes sense. Why did Oscarson, an incumbent, get voted out?

I don't know for sure, but Hof is literally the pimp from Pahrump. Nye County likes him. They outvoted the rest of the district.

Offtopic to that specific election result, but still--Nye County, fwiw, is part of the Las Vegas CSA, pretty much because of Pahrump, which dominates the county demographically. Is there much of a chance of it going the same way as places like Henderson and trending Democratic?

Well for one if we ever see an influx of minorities, no matter how small, you can be sure it will be noticable in terms of election results. These counties are quite tiny population-wise.
