Unless the Dem president is Biden, if Booker is the president, he won't endorse Feinstein, allowing Schiff to challenge her. But, it's a tall task, but Feinstein isn't connected all that well with black community. Obama, endorsed Feinstein, due to Biden. Another reason, I rather have Booker in the Oval Office than Biden  Feinstein is another Cuomo and Ben Cardin, that progressives don't like

Please stop talking.  You're ridiculous.  Who ever knows what you're saying?

You're trying to argue with OC, that's your first mistake.  He's an unstoppable and constant #hottake, the sooner you accept that the better.  Also if you don't want to see his posts just ignore him Tongue

Does she really think she's going to live that long?

Jesus Christ, is this chick immortal and invincible?
...and if she is can she kindly transfer some of that immortality to Ruth Bader Ginsberg?

If Feinstein doesn't make it to 2024, who will be a good successor to her?

Appointee? I'd like to see John Chiang after he gave up being State Treasurer to run for gov. Hope Gavin Newsom considers him if such a call has to be made. Others I'd like are incoming Treasurer Fiona Ma or Rep. Adam Schiff.

Not necessarily an appointee.

A successor is someone who will fill the seat in the long term (2 or more terms).

However, those people are some good options.

I think it's likely Newsom would put someone in who intends to run in the following election rather than a placeholder.

I bet RBG outlives Feinstein.

He & London Breed are ideological allies from the same faction of San Francisco's local politics, so I think that could definitely make her a top-tier option on a Newsom appointee list.

Seriously, California needs to reject her. ... She has no place in such a progressive state right now, and she's been a senator for too long. It's time for someone new, for some potential presidential material and a new young face to arise. Feinstein needs to go.

Kounalakis or Breed.  Newsom will be boxed into a woman as Feinstein's successor.

Ted Lieu should run in 2024 though.
