Chalabi is far from being handed over to the ICC.  He's actually #10 on the SCIRI list of candidates endorsed by Ali Sistani, and he is guaranteed a seat at the Constitutional Convention since SCIRI is going to win the most seats.  Chalabi is now one of the most popular men in Iraq.

The Mongolian election was far from stolen.  Mongolia was looked at by most observers in the early to mid nineies as a success story, actually.

The Islamic Party withdrew because they knew they'd lose.  All the parties that have actual members stayed in because they know they're going to win.  Pulling out of elections and declaring them illegitimate is a common strategy by people in the third world who know they're going to lose and want to pre-emptively de-legitimize their opponents.

Really? Read the news. The Justice Ministry, IIRC, sas they will arrest him soon because he is wanted for bank fraud in Jordan. And do you recall him selling US secrets to Iran?

Oh, okay. Apart from several seats stolen... And besides, America has a terrible track record of propping up dictators or throwing out democracy when they don't like it. The USA backed Pol Pot only because he opposed the Vietnamese. And Pinochet. And they gladly helped Franco in Spain. And...

The USA saw the Islamic Party as a breath of relief because it would pacify the country. So?

The only campaigning there is so far is tapes from Osama and daily bombings.

John Ford, if you want to convince people you should admit your side has made mistakes. You even try to justify Abu Ghraib.
