Also interesting that East Feliciana is black 45%, McCain 54.6%, so it appears not to be an isolated case. Ronnie's guess sounds right.

The reason for that might though... that charming Nazi, Schmitz, polled something like 11% in West Feliciana, splitting the white vote.

I noticed in a different thread that West Feliciana was actually McGovern's best parish in LA in 1972.
