Jihad in the Old Dominion and elsewhere?

It has come to my attention that a very religiously conservative Islamic group with strong ties to extremists in both the Middle East and Pakistan are operating a couple of known compounds in the rural parts of my home state of Virginia as well as a more urban one about ten miles away from me. However this was written and posted in 2005 so I don't know if these are still around.

Two thoughts come to mind right away:
A.If true, this is kind of scary.
B.We live in a free country, I don't have a problem with nuts with guns hiding in the hills.  Until they break the law, then bomb them.  Or at least call in the military to take them out.  The police/FBI/ATF shouldn't be in the "storming the compound" business.  That is a military action, not a police action.
