I generally lean Democratic and I am very sorry that Obama was ever elected President.  I dont feel his short term victory in 2008 was anywhere near the long term pain it is going to cost the Democratic party.

This is a weak, weak President in one of the worst economic situations in history.  I would have thought that quite a few Democrats would have known this would happen in 2008 and pulled the lever for McCain(as I did) in order to stop the Democrats from being blamed for these next disastrous few years.

If Obama can get a healthcare bill through, his election will have at least been partially worth it my view, but if not, he deserves to go down as a disaster that never should have happened.

What do other Democrats here think?

I can give one big reason why very few Democrats share your view: Sonia Sotomayor.
