Don't forget my Fritzcare Card! It requires legislation but it was part of a requirement under the old Mental Health Reform Bill.

Oh yeah, we must remember to insert that in once we get to the second bill then.

Just some of the juicy tidbits courtesy of Sequester reporting. There is much more that will come in handy later on. Links in the OP.

National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Sequestration Budget Reduction at 10%: -$3.1 billion

•   These cuts equal more than the entire combined budgets for the National Institute of Mental Health and National Institute on Drug Abuse

Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ)
Sequestration Budget Reduction at 10%: -$41.0 million

•   Cuts equal 62% of all funding for investigator-initiated research grants for quality, effectiveness and efficiency research, stalling the discovery and dissemination of new and effective treatments.

Gonna need assistance here:
http://www.samhsa.gov/grants/blockgrant/

Mostly on the sublinks. I cannot load them all on my connection. Post relevent snippets if any and which link you attained them from.

Points about accountability in Spending, particular the local level's use of federal money.
http://www.nami.org/Template.cfm?Section=Issue_Spotlights&template=/ContentManagement/ContentDisplay.cfm&ContentID=28733

Superique might want to gander at that one especially, considering a large part of his job is verifying proper use of Federal money by the Regions.

It appears that Fritzcare cards will be handled through an independent legislative effort, which is probably the best way to handle that issue really.

I encourage all interested parties who have information or research to offer to feel free to post it here, with links of course, that we may include it in subsequent acts submitted and passed.

I'd like to get the ball rolling on the Fritzcare card as soon as possible. I am not sure if I am handling it the right way, but it's the only way I know how with the advice from my SoIA.

I have withdrawn part two for a short time until the independent budget can be finished. I never envisoned that it would be unfinished at the end of November.
