I echo Ben's statement. Good luck in the race.

Well, the election is quickly nearing its end, and it has become clear that we don't have near the number of votes we need to win.

At the same time, due to the way preferences have split, I believe it is also clear that President Lief has been re-elected.

I want to take this opportunity to sincerely congratulate President Lief and wish him the best of luck in his second term.

It was an honor running in this election with Swedish Cheese, and I am happy to announce that I will remain in the Senate for right now, and that I intend to run for re-election in December.

That's it for now, further policy discussion will follow after the election has ended.

I thank everyone who came out to vote for this ticket, and I would still be happy to get further 1st preferences. It's still a fight for 3rd place, even if that fight is ultimately irrelevant, and I would be happy to win that one Smiley

Yeah, both the non-machine-party tickets did better than I thought they would. Presumably says something, though I don't know what.

How do you figure? You both did pretty much as expected, with maybe a few extra votes for yourself due to your long history here. I thought the votes fell for most people as one would've thought.

And Franzl, I hope you'll have a long future in the Senate. With myself, of course. Wink

Great showing Franzl. You and SC ran a solid race and I look forward to both of your continuing presences in Atlasian government for a while to come.

I guessed that I'd be lucky to get about ten votes and thought that Franzl would get a few more - say two or three more.
