It's not as if she's a 35 year dude who's living with a 18 year old. People wouldn't find her threatening so they wouldn't care.

Yeah I don't think this will hurt Ivey at all, if true. Good to know that we have some more LGBT Republicans, although the alcoholic trait is undesirable.

There are many more LGBT issues than just marriage equality. Nondiscrimination in hiring and services for example.

Some people will do whatever it takes to get ahead in elected office so even if Ivey is actually a lesbian it doesn't mean that she wouldn't sign legislation that is anti-gay. With that said I can see it possibly being a problem for Ivey in the rural areas where evangelical voters would rather eat dirt than vote for someone that wasn't straight especially when there are other choices in the primary.

Kay Ivey has never been married so it's not like Pat Todd was cluing everybody in on something that the rumor mill had not been spewing for years.  Aspects of Kay Ivey's personal life have been "baked-in" to her public persona for years, and I don't expect that this will affect her campaign in any substantial way.

I would hope she's not, considering her willingless to throw LGBT in the state under the bus by signing discriminatory legislation and backing a bigot like Roy Moore. I don't care if a pol is in the closet gay but if they are and actively harming the LGBT community while doing so, they should be outed and shamed.
