I'm thinking of making an alternate 1996 game where Bush was re-elected in 1992, but just wanted to gauge interest for it.

Edit: The scenario. In 1992, a combination of Buchanan not running in the primary, Perot's dropout sticking, and Clinton's campaign team just not being as slick as they were in real life led to Clinton's defeat in 1992. It was something of a pyrrhic victory though. The minor recession in 91-92 led to a major one in 93-94, resulting in the 'Democratic Revolution' of 1994. This saw the Democrats expand their House majority and retake the Senate.

There's a wide range of candidates available. Of course, in order to make things fair, the Democratic Revolution resulted in seeming far-left ideas becoming more and more mainstream in the Democratic Party and thus, solid punching bags for the Republicans.

I'll leave this up for a week to gauge interest in it. If there is, we can do it. If not, no harm done.

What would be the general timeline for the TL and have you written out how Clinton lost, etc, etc? I'm interested myself and if you go ahead, feel free to reserve me as Colin Powell as an Independent.

I'm still partially sorting the timeline out, but the three big factors are that Clinton's campaign just wasn't as competent as it was in real life (he had one of the best campaign teams of all time), Perot ended up staying out of the race and Buchanan never ran in the primary.

You can count me in! I'm definitely interested. I'm excited to see the Democratic bench that rises from this scenario.

That was a big interest of mine as far as this goes, not going to lie. As we know, historically the heavy hitters assumed Bush 41 was too difficult to beat and decided to keep their powder dry for 1996.

So, this scenario will now be going ahead. ideally, I'd like an even balance of Democrats and Republicans.
