Roosevelt: For the Square Deal, and a Recovery That's Real!

Strauss's economic plans are more extreme than the President's. It's like firemen, seeing a house on fire, shouting for everyone to throw gasoline onto the unburnt parts of the house. Strauss is not the voice of German-Columbians. Strauss is the voice of the President with unbridled radicalism. We are nearing depression-level economic collapse. We cannot afford another four years of failure economically.

This is a true victory of the people! President Roosevelt will be the greatest supporter of German-Columbians and our party in decades. We have replaced economic insanity with policies which cannot fail.

My greatest hope is for an alliance and economic agreement with Germany. The socialists, if they want to take votes from us Center Democrats, must promise something of the sort and moderate their economic policies.

If the radicals block Roosevelt, we will raise an armed militia to march him to the capital. We will not disband until your threats end. We did not threaten your leaders. We did not revolt. We did not reject democracy. We accepted the will of the people!

Your ideology is not that of the people. It is that of radical oligarchs who have risen above the workers to political power. You abuse our system of government. That ends today. There will be no more riots. There will be no more revolts. Your abuse of power will be remembered by the people of Columbia for years to come. Today, we march with Roosevelt, and we encourage all supporters of democracy to march with us, regardless of your ideology.
