Center fielder Jackie Bradley Jr. plans to sign a two-year, $24 million deal with the Milwaukee Brewers that includes an opt-out after the first year, a source familiar with the contract told ESPN.

That Brewers Outfield looks pretty good right now.

The duo of Lorenzo Cain and Christian Yelich are two of the best in the league, and the pair of Avisail Garcia and Jackie Bradley Jr, might be the best third/fourth outfielder in the National League.

After fifteen seasons, Nick Markakis is retiring.

After a 15-year career that came up just short of the World Series, Nick Markakis has retired.

Markakis spent his first nine years with the Baltimore Orioles before moving to his hometown Atlanta Braves for his final six seasons.

The 37-year-old outfielder helped the Braves through a difficult rebuilding process that paid off with three straight National League East titles.

A free agent after last season, Markakis told The Athletic in a story published Friday that he was done playing after accumulating 2,388 hits, earning his lone All-Star selection in 2018 and closing out his career in Game 7 of the NL Championship Series.

To be fair, this is a "most popular team" map. I believe that the Dodgers and Cubs are the most popular teams in their respective areas, moreso than the Angels or White Sox. I believe SeatGeek uses market data and ticket purchases to get this information anyway, which is a flawed way of measuring how many fans are in one area. For instance, I'm a Red Sox fan in Lancaster County, PA, but I will only buy tickets to Phillies and Orioles games. Does that mean I measure as a Phillies or Orioles fan? I only buy those tickets because they are the most convenient for me to drive to.

With one day to go before Opening Day, Francisco Lindor will be staying a Met, as he signed a 10-year extension worth $341 million.

The New York Mets and shortstop Francisco Lindor have agreed to a 10-year, $341 million deal, a source told ESPN's Jeff Passan on Wednesday.

Lindor's deal will be the third largest based on total value in major league history, trailing only the deals for the Los Angeles Angels' Mike Trout ($426.5 million) and the Los Angeles Dodgers' Mookie Betts ($365 million).

I’m a Cubs fan living in Brewers territory, so I just switched TV providers to prevent being blacked out from all of the Cubs-Brewers games coming up.  Now I’m good to go.  Happy Opening Day everyone!

I hate having that day off right after opening day, such a buzzkill.  I guess this is why they do it though.  White Sox had many cold outs/snow outs and ended upp taking advantage of it.
