Are there any?

For me there is a notable one: The Lil Nas X shoes/Kristi Noem feud thread. Because that thread is actually the reason I went to Furnace Fest....and thus for my plan to get a tattoo of the FF logo. So I will forever have a tattoo because Kristie Noem called out Lil Nas X for his edgelord gimmick and Alben Barkley thought that was thread worthy.

That's kind of funny to think about.

My thread asking where I should move will impact my life when I journey to the Last Frontier this summer.

Also, I recall someone saying he was convinced by my anti-circumcision arguments on this site and as a result decided not to get his soon-to-be-born son cut. Honestly, the fact that my posting saved a single man's foreskin from the butcher's blade makes all the time I've spent on this site worth it. Possibly the best community service I've ever performed.

It's saying something that I've never heard of this poster before, let alone the thread, which suggests it's extremely old.

It happened in 2008, shortly after I joined the forum. She was my girlfriend at the time, and I brought her on here. Suffice it to say there was a culture shock.

Aaah.
Yeah.
Every time people have brought their SOs to this site there's been culture shock, every time I can recall it happening.

I got into Grimes because people on this website loved her a long time ago.

Also, all of my own threads from The Bad Times helped me become a less cringe adult. Still cringe, but less so.

That first thread during the Ukraine-Russia war, I still think about Andriy and pray that he is doing okay.

Can't recall one in particular, but there have been moments where I've randomly had to stop myself from giggling like a maniac in public because of an olawakandi post I started thinking about.

When did you get into Grimes?

Presumably 2014 when Alison Lundergan Grimes ran against Mitch McConnell and that became a meme here.

I thought he was talking about the singer...

Yeah, the singer became a meme here because of the name similarity.

I suppose there must have been communication as to what to expect. And that's why it worked out.

The experiences I had on Atlas as a young person have directly shaped my intellectual interests, career path, and politics.

I think I learned about both Jon Bois and Red Letter Media on here, which have gone on to become two of my favorite YouTubers over the span of at least 5 or 6 years at this point.

When I was first on atlas as a teen, I had a lot of really screwed up ideas(eg "mandatory abortion in cases of incest"), an extremely bad understanding of the world and how it works, and a load of nasty character flaws. I fought with a lot of people on atlas because of it, and found my distorted worldview being challenged in a way it never had been before. These debates slowly undermined the foundations of my bad worldview, and at a glacial pace, they shifted. I think I owe a good chunk of my growth as a person and maturation of my worldview from early high school to now to Atlas.

Probably this one because last night I dreamt I posted a bunch of inappropriate stuff on here and got a lot of moderations, but not a ban.

I don't know why Allred is allowing illegals to cross the border and not saying anything about guns, he should say he supports to right to hear arms but  red flag laws are imperative, he is losing his race and we had Ted Cruz only down by 5 now it's a lost cause especially since I am moving to TX

Hopefully, when we get the Border Bill passed and Trump is off the ballot we can win in 26 against Cornyn, along with Daines with Guiterrez and Busse and Golden v Collins those are the 3 most endangered Rs
