Day 9: St. Lucie County, Florida

St. Lucie County is located in Southeast Florida, wedged between the Space Coast and the South Florida megalopolis. Before 2016, it was the most Democratic county in Florida's Atlantic coast, excluding South Florida--thanks to a large Black population and an above average working class White population compared to other areas of Florida. In 2016, it flipped narrowly to Trump due to drops in turnout in the former and swings in the latter. Biden winning it back will require any of improved Black turnout, or a better Democratic performance among White working class voters or retirees.

I voted for Biden- it most certainly could be won by Trump but I think Biden has an edge in it. If Biden wins it, that doesn't mean he wins Florida though.
