Moving forward bill debate should occur on DieselCord so we can actually have some.
Why do I need to care about yet another random Discord if we want to participate in a forum game? That's been the reflex of many for years, but that doesn't help the problem.
Why do I need to refrain from debating legislation in good faith on behalf of the voters who elected me just because Lumine is a terrible mod who abuses his powers? That's been an unresolved issue for years, and also doesn't help the problem.
IRL the debating clause of the constitution affords immunity to elected legislators to debate proposed laws. This allows for debate. In game, several mods have censored elected legislators debating proposed laws. Unsurprisingly, only 1 side of the spectrum gets censored. Christ, in 2022 YE wouldnt even allow a grammar clause in a definitions bill that merely recommended that the 3rd person plural pronouns "they" and "them" not be used as 3rd person singular pronouns in proposed bills "to avoid confusion". Yankee said they main instigator of that was Afleicht who doesnt even play the game but still felt the need to stick his nose where it didnt belong.
Im starting to think Atlas Mods should be prohibited from registering in and playing Atlasia. Theres too much unfair abuse.
