Definitely gonna say FF so far and would already be in my top 5 of current world leaders. I would say if he can actually deliver long term, than he would be clearly number 1.

I'm going to say HP due to his personality, company, outbursts, and general behavior.

All the same, I hope against hope it will work out - in so far as it is reasonably possible to do so - and Argentina will pull out of the Peronist economic insanity for its own sake.

One of the worst non-autocratic leaders currently serving. I just hope that he won't turn Argentina into the next Venezuela economic wise.

I will wait and see what happens with Argentina before passing judgement.

If he tightens the place up and brings back foreign investment, then he has done his job.

Massive HP

A mentally deranged lunatic who doesn't believe in basic government functions and denies science. Just because Peronists messed up badly doesn't make him a FF. His only good decision was to take back the application for BRICS.

Inflation in Argentina is going down , their currency is becoming stronger , and global markets are starting to have confidence in their economy again .

The fact is what Argentina needs is Thatcherism in steroids or what many economists call “shock therapy” and Milei is giving the nation that . If he manages to be successful in fully reigning inflation in , than how can he not be considered a positive influence for Argentina

Argentina's President Javier Milei still hasn't dollarized the economy as promised, but he has managed to do something that's possibly more shocking: strengthen the peso.

This currency has been one of 2023's most devalued tenders, and yet it's now become the top currency against the dollar.

In the past three months, the peso has surged 25% in the blue-chip swap market, one of Argentina's key foreign exchanges. According to Bloomberg, that's the biggest increase among 148 currencies it tracks against the dollar.

Also the best way to actually reduce poverty in Argentina is to bring inflation under control and yes it will cause some short term pain but will actually help in the medium to long term .

Your article is from April, today the parallel exchange rate is $1300, a 30% devaluation

And letting food for foodbanks rot in shelves because he hates subsidiarity when not done by evangelical nutjobs (in itself an hilarious position for a latin American rightist) is not a "necessary pain". It's just evil.

Gets unnecessary criticism from people on the left and is nowhere close to an actual threat to democracy like Bukele or Bolsonaro. If he can get Argentina's financial situation under control then he would certainly deserve FF status, although it's too early to say.

He's a really weird guy in his personal life, but it seems like he's helping solve a lot of the problems that have plagued Argentina in recent years.
