Massive HP

A mentally deranged lunatic who doesn't believe in basic government functions and denies science. Just because Peronists messed up badly doesn't make him a FF. His only good decision was to take back the application for BRICS.

Inflation in Argentina is going down , their currency is becoming stronger , and global markets are starting to have confidence in their economy again .

The fact is what Argentina needs is Thatcherism in steroids or what many economists call “shock therapy” and Milei is giving the nation that . If he manages to be successful in fully reigning inflation in , than how can he not be considered a positive influence for Argentina

Their currency is not getting stronger lmao.

Anyway, starving the poor is automatic HP, but basic human decency is beyond some people.

Quote
Argentina's President Javier Milei still hasn't dollarized the economy as promised, but he has managed to do something that's possibly more shocking: strengthen the peso.

This currency has been one of 2023's most devalued tenders, and yet it's now become the top currency against the dollar.

In the past three months, the peso has surged 25% in the blue-chip swap market, one of Argentina's key foreign exchanges. According to Bloomberg, that's the biggest increase among 148 currencies it tracks against the dollar.

Also the best way to actually reduce poverty in Argentina is to bring inflation under control and yes it will cause some short term pain but will actually help in the medium to long term .

Your article is from April, today the parallel exchange rate is $1300, a 30% devaluation

And letting food for foodbanks rot in shelves because he hates subsidiarity when not done by evangelical nutjobs (in itself an hilarious position for a latin American rightist) is not a "necessary pain". It's just evil.
