Why did the American colonists melt down the statues of King George III? They should have kept them at warehouses or sequestered them in the woods somewhere. Some people don’t have respect for history.

Tbh I'm surprised there wasn't more of a movement to rename states/locations associated with the British and monarchy. I guess the american revolutionary war didn't have the same degree of atrocities and counter-atrocities to forment such jacobism.
