Worth noting that this won't have any effect on who forms the government, just as independent Sanders vs. an official Democratic candidate wouldn't have any effect on who controls the U.S. Senate. Actually, a better comparison is probably independent AOC or Ilan Omar against an official Democratic candidate, or maybe those times when Pelosi was challenged by Cindy Sheehan.
