I'm as of right now predicting that France will win the competition, but I do think that England and Germany will be strong competition and a victory by either of them is very possible too.

Albania is by far the worst team I've ever seen in a Euro. They were pretty decent in 2016 but yesterday they were so bad they made Scotland actually look good.

This is a very odd comment. They gave Italy a very close game, and almost snatched a draw at the end!

Italy gifted them a goal at the beginning of the game and after that they barely visited the opposite box until the very last minute. They parked the bus even though they were losing and didn't even try to press the Italians who were passing the ball and wasting time like it was a training game.

That makes sense. However I would throw in Spain and Italy as contenders too + possibly Belgium as Dark Horse.

I would be pleasantly surprised but I doubt it.

The Online Media Mob is now going after our Female EURO 2024 Moderators. Pretty sexist IMO. Esther Sedlazec & Laura Wontorra in their crosshairs.

France did not deserve to win the game, and then again the goal was an own goal by Austria.

Fun fact: since the currency euro was created, only Southern European countries won the Euro: Greece 2004, Spain 2008 & 2012, Portugal 2016, Italy 2021

Portugal was quite painful to watch today. If it weren't for Chico, the night would have been a funeral.

I wonder when somebody is going to put the foot down and force Ronaldo to retire from the national team. It's embarrassing for a team of talented players to work mainly for a geriatric star who puts his vanity above all else.

Germany beats Hungary 2:0, qualifiying for the round of 16.

Overall a deserved victory, but Hungary was a much tougher opponent than Scotland. It was at least some luck involved we didn't get at least one goal.

I think this is his last tournament, alongside Pepe, and also I think that Cristiano has become less and less relevant in the team. However, his presence still looms and can constrain some players.

Serbia threatens to leave the tournament is UEFA doesn't punish Albania and Croatia for fans chanting “Kill, kill, kill the Serb" during a match between the two countries on Wednesday in Hamburg. (For the record Albania and Croatia drew 2-2.)

For me, the squads with highest probability to win are, in order

1 Germany
2 France
3 Spain

Going from England-Denmark to Spain-Italy is like going from Jupiler Pro League to Champions League.

Goal attempts: 9 Spain, 1 Italy. And yet, Spain only won due to an own goal by Italy.

In other words, a very Spanish performance, kind of like Swiss 1-1 draws or England bottling penalties.

Italy is just pathetic. If Croatia is only a smidge more effective than Spain then they will easily put them out of their misery.

Germany has IMO the best Coach in the European National Teams with JULIAN NAGELSMANN.

If we can get passed Spain in the QF we might win the thing. Realistically though we lose to them. Germany is certainly a future World Cup or EURO 2028 Contender. Lot's of Players are under 25.

When the Euros was 16 teams, it was the best tournament in the world because everyone was so good except maybe 1-2 minnows. Now a third of the teams are minnows and you have the weakest group sending 3 teams to the knockouts. The World Cup is now, sadly, better than the Euros.
