the amendment seems to have a typo, as it reduces the number of at-large senators to six in article iii section 2 but not in section 1, where it still says nine:

However, this section shall not be construed to prevent any duly elected senator from completing any term to which they have been elected, with the full rights, powers, and privileges of said office.
