How would you describe the political fanbase of his fans 47 years after his death??? Of course, this includes people who never discovered him when he was alive or were born after 1977.

Conservative baby boomers....

Except for a few months in Summer 2022 when the Elvis movie came out and you had a bunch of Gen Z fangirls for Austin Butler and social media had a lot of Elvis songs etc

White, male, Southern, 18-34 (just barely now…), married, postgraduate degree, professional/white collar/upper income, irreligious, urban/suburban, (ex?) heavy drinker.

I wouldn’t know from experience of course, just a hunch.

On an unrelated note, I’m thinking of finally making the pilgrimage to Graceland this summer if I have the time.

Probably includes a fair if not disproportionate amount of ancestral Dixiecrats, his cousin WAS the Democratic nominee for Governor of Mississippi last year.

Old people of all political tendences.
Music nerds (inclusing some musicians that aren't particullary nerdy).
Fans of the 2022 film and 'Lilo & Stitch'.

Mostly older and I’d be inclined to say probably white and conservative leaning overall but not overwhelmingly so. Elvis isn’t called the king for nothing and IMO he mostly cuts across political divides.
