He seems to be really upset that people are being mean to him on some threads on this forum. Do you feel sorry that other posters are mean to him?

I'm not fond of pppolitics, but this thread still feels a bit too much like bullying.

if a person is "bothered" by others on a message board, they should just leave.  There are other places on the internet, maybe they won't be mean to you.

also, there is a tiny chance he (or she) is a serious poster and a large chance they are just a troll.

I never get the purpose of these “Do you feel sorry” threads as if they were only to gratuitously mock posters for nothing. How are these allowed?

Obviously I don’t feel sorry for anyone based on silly obscure forum drama when there are probably more important stuff going on in theirs and everyone’s lives. That said, not feeling sorry doesn’t mean thinking moral harassment is cute or funny, not being something valid either in message boards or real life.

When you position someone in the place as someone people should or shouldn’t feel sorry about with this thread, you’re not really asking a question, you’re purposely positioning them in the position of “victims” that people should feel pity of if they agree they’re victims or that people should laugh at if they think they aren’t, as if the poster themselves described themselves as victims instead of the OP himself.

When like, the person can very well recognize when they’re being bullied in a specific situation without feeling sorry for themselves about it? When someone acts in a way that isn’t appropriate you always point it out regardless.

It feels like a cheap way to try to repress people from speaking out and just shut up quietly when others harass them, as almost nobody likes to see themselves as “victims” and if they’re put in that specific position when they speak their mind, they’ll be pushed to not want to say what they think.

Amongst the celebration, his anger and dismay was not shared amongst other forum users resulting in him having to reassess his short term goals.
