I finally saw No Time to Die last night.  Tbh, it made me feel sadder than any other movie I've ever seen.

Just watched Top Gun: Maverick

I liked the first two minutes.

Never realised how closely they were going to copy the original, but leaving an uninspiring shell of a movie.

Speak for yourself.  I thought the film adhered to the basic template of the original but took it to a whole new level.  Like Mannheim Steamroller's version of the Christmas song God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.

I'm watching Mad Men for the very first time, because it's free on Amazon Vid right now.  I'm on Season 3, and I'm unexpectedly hooked, and didn't think it would ever be a series I'd be in to.

My favorite character so far--and the one I identify with the most--is Peggy.

Peggy is my favorite too.  Her transformation over the course of the series is incredible.

Watched "In the Name of the Father" yesterday. T'was captivating.

I remember seeing that movie in a theater in college.  Very powerful and sad, although I later read that the events it portrayed weren't quite as black and white in real life as in the movie.  I also remember hearing that it got a lot of British conservatives upset--of course, that doesn't make it untrue.
