Chinese men arrested for cowardly attack on women in restaurant after they refused their sexual advances.

With the advent of CCTV comes some ugly truths about humanity.

This is a PR disaster for China now spreading globally on news media.

Both this and the bashing in Perth 2 months ago highlight issues with misogyny with men in 2022. Maybe it's not a cultural issue and simply caused by crystal methamphetamine use amongst 20 y.o. men. Who knows?

Will be very interested to see what jail terms they get.

Since then, police presence at popular nighttime gathering places reached Tiananmen levels. Many of them were blaring loudspeakers telling men to behave among women, or else.

The things who attacked the women will most assuredly be thrown to the wolves.

OTOH, the propaganda authorities are quick to frame the incident as purely one of criminality that merely deserves a harsh police response, and not one of misogyny that requires a cultural response. They even claim that calling the incident a sexist attack is unpatriotic, as it's importing an SJW culture from a hostile foreign country.

It was reported that in 2023, Xi Jinping, in a meeting with Ursula von der Leyer, said the US was baiting him into starting a war over Taiwan, and that he wasn't taking the bait.

Another bombshell that isn't getting a fraction of the attention it deserves.

The last Defence Minister Li Shangfu; and the one before that, Wei Fenghe, were expelled from the Party and referred to court martial. They were accused of graft and factionalism.

The rumours of a mass purge within the military are shocking, and would make Stalin proud.

Xi has also been holding off on holding the 3rd Plenary Session of the 20th CCP Central Central Committee. By convention, it should have been held last autumn. Only now is there confirmation it will be held this July. It's obvious that Xi is afraid it could become a platform to air grievances targeting him, so he decided to tie up these loose ends.
