Unless the Biden campaign is really noticing something the rest of us aren't, it feels like a waste to try and expand the map at this point versus going full defense.

And that Trump event could not have looked more predictable. He really is obsessed with the black vote this year, and it will probably be for naught.

It sort of seems silly to bail on the state. In 2020, it was only like 2% to the right of all these other states people consider key tossups (PA, WI, AZ, GA) - NC voting to the left of some or all of these states in 2024 is a very realistic possibility - it being the tipping point is even in the cards.

And there are some positive signs for Dems in NC. Despite little investment in 2022, Beasley held up pretty well in the Senate race and actually further improved on Biden's performance in a few key areas like Asheville and greater Raleigh.
